摘要: A convertible slot scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes an imaging assembly, a controller, an image decoder, a chassis, a first window, and a housing. The chassis is configured to accommodate the imaging assembly and includes an optical cavity, an opening, and a flange portion at least partially surrounding the opening. The first window is configured to at least partially cover the opening of the chassis. The housing includes a housing cavity that is dimensioned to at least partially accommodate the chassis. The housing is positionable in a first, horizontal configuration and a second, vertical configuration. In the horizontal configuration, the first window is in a generally horizontal orientation. In the vertical configuration, the first window is in a generally upright orientation.

摘要: A barcode reader has a housing, a weigh platter, and an off-platter detection assembly including an imaging assembly in communication with a controller. The imaging assembly has an imager configured to capture an image of first and second lateral edges of the weigh platter and having a field-of-view extending over an upper surface of the weigh platter. The controller is configured to: identify and locate the first and second lateral edges based upon a training image; receive the image from the imager; allow the measured weight to be recorded if determined that a footprint of an object positioned on the weigh platter does not extend over the first and second lateral edges based on the image; and prevent the measured weight from being recorded and/or providing and alert to a user if determined that the footprint of the object does extend over the first and/or second lateral edges.

摘要: A bioptic barcode reader is disclosed for selective use of illumination color to capture appropriate data. The bioptic barcode reader includes a housing and a primary imager positioned within the housing, configured to scan a target object during a first time period. The bioptic barcode reader further includes a primary illumination source positioned within the housing configured to emit primary illumination in a primary wavelength range during the first time period. The bioptic barcode reader further includes a secondary imager configured to capture one or more images of a target object during a second time period. The bioptic barcode reader further includes a secondary illumination source configured to emit secondary illumination in a secondary wavelength range during the second time period, wherein the second time period and first time period are interleaved and the secondary wavelength range is different from the primary wavelength range.

摘要: A barcode reader having alternating illumination for a single sensor split into multiple fields of view (FOVs) is disclosed herein. An example barcode reader includes an image sensor having a primary FOV and operable at a predetermined framerate, an optical assembly configured to split the primary FOV into first and second subfields of view, an illumination assembly configured to illuminate targets appearing within the first and second subfields of view, a controller, and a decoder. The controller instructs the image sensor to capture a first image with a first exposure duration while having the illumination assembly be activated for at least a portion of the first exposure duration and a second image with a different second exposure duration while having the illumination assembly be activated for at least a portion of the second exposure duration. From the first and second images, the decoder attempts to decode a barcode.

摘要: A barcode reader is provided. The barcode reader comprises an imaging assembly having a field of view (FOV) extending along one or more horizontal planes and a housing of the imaging assembly, the housing being a cuboid shape having six sides. The FOV of the imaging assembly passes through an opening in a first side of the housing with a width that is 1.5 inches or greater. The first side of the housing has a width that is greater than or equal to 2.5 inches and less than or equal to 3.5 inches, and has a height that is greater than or equal to 2.0 inches and less than or equal to 3.5 inches. The housing is substantially stable when at least a portion of a second side of the housing, substantially parallel to at least one of the one or more horizontal planes, is placed on a flat surface.

摘要: Imaging arrangements and barcode readers including such imaging arrangements. An imaging arrangement for use in a barcode reader includes a housing. The imaging arrangement also includes a light source configured to emit light along a central light axis. The light source is disposed in the housing. The imaging arrangement also includes a lens having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The lens is disposed in the housing. The first surface is configured to face the light source and is structured to substantially collimate light received from the light source into a collimated beam. The second surface includes surface structures structured to generate a patterned beam in response to receiving the collimated beam.
