    Abstract: A propulsion system is provided for an aircraft. This propulsion system includes a turbine engine, and the turbine engine includes a propulsor rotor, an engine core and a heat exchanger. The propulsor rotor is configured to rotate about an axis and direct a first air stream along a primary flowpath that bypasses the engine core. The propulsor rotor is configured to direct a second air stream along a secondary flowpath with a geometry extending at least eighty degrees about the axis. The turbine engine is configured such that the first air stream enters the primary flowpath at a first pressure and the second air stream enters the secondary flowpath at a second pressure that is different than the first pressure. The engine core is configured to drive rotation of the propulsor rotor. The heat exchanger is disposed within the secondary flowpath.

    Abstract: A blade or vane has: an airfoil having an inner diameter (ID) end and an outer diameter (OD) end and having a suction side and a pressure side and a leading edge and a trailing edge; and an inner platform and/or attachment root at the ID end and/or an outer platform at the OD end. At least one of the inner platform, root, and/or outer platform comprises one or more pieces of a first alloy. One or more pieces of a second alloy form a leading edge section of the airfoil. One or more pieces of a third alloy form a trailing edge section of the airfoil. One or more pieces of a fourth alloy form a spar of the airfoil between the leading edge section and trailing edge section and extending into said at least one of the inner platform, root, and/or outer platform.

    Abstract: An example method of automatically facilitating redaction of a digital model including obtaining at least metadata of a first digital model of a first system and a second digital model of a second system, wherein the first digital model and second digital model each include a plurality of respective discrete subsystems representing different functions of their respective systems, each subsystem including a plurality of respective discrete model elements, and design responsibility for the plurality of discrete subsystems is assigned to a plurality of different engineering teams. The method includes, based on the at least metadata of the first digital model indicating that the first digital model includes a first digital redaction, and further based on the first digital model and second digital model meeting at least one similarity criterion, automatically facilitating a second digital redaction in the second digital model that is based on the first digital redaction.

    Abstract: A fault diagnostic system includes an RF network that implements a plurality of devices in signal communication with a plurality of nodes to exchange a plurality of signals. A first device includes a radio frequency transceiver, and a first waveguide extends from a first end coupled to the first device to an opposing second end located at a second location. A processor transmits a first radio frequency signal among the plurality of signals through the first waveguide toward the second end, and receives a second radio frequency signal among the plurality of signals, the second radio frequency signal generated in response to the first radio frequency signal. The processor further performs at least one S-parameter analysis based on the first radio frequency and the second radio frequency, and determines a presence of a fault in the radio frequency network based on the at least one S-parameter analysis.
