摘要： A headrest mount has a rod having an upper end adapted to carry a headrest, extending along an axis, and formed with a plurality of axially spaced and radially outwardly open notches and a socket fitting having a tube in which the rod is axially centered and slidable and a head axially traversed by the rod and forming a slide compartment having upper and lower confronting planar surfaces extending generally perpendicular to the axis. A generally rectangular and wholly plastic slide plate in the slide compartment is formed with a central aperture through which the rod passes and has a pair of axially oppositely directed planar faces respectively engaging the surfaces of the compartment. The slide plate is a snug fit between the compartment surfaces. At least one spring engaged in the head between the plate and the fitting urges the plate radially of the axis and presses an edge of the aperture against the rod so that when one of the notches is aligned with the plate the edge engages therein and axially arrests the rod in the fitting.

摘要： A head rest support mechanism for a vehicle seat, the head rest being fitted with at least one support rod having a plurality of notches and being supported by the seat back and adapted for vertical adjustment with respect thereto, the support mechanism further including a guiding member fixed to the seat back and comprising a bore slidingly and snugly supporting the support rod. There is a latching spring supported by the guiding member and having one end fixed to the guiding member, another end projecting from the guiding member, and an intermediate, looped, notch engaging portion being normally biased to engage a portion of a notch. The support rod comprises a plurality of notches each lying in a plane which is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the rod and a normal of the plane is not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The arrangement is such that axial displacement of the support rod in an upward direction entails lateral displacement of the notch engaging portion so as to disengage from the notch, and downward displacement of the supporting rod is possible only upon laterally displacing the notch engaging portion by expelling the projecting end of the latching spring.

摘要： A headrest apparatus for a vehicle seat. The seat has a seat cushion and a seat-back to support the back of a user of the seat. The headrest apparatus has a holder on a top portion of the seat-back; a stay having first and second supporting portions in parallel, the holder holding the stay so that the stay can slide relative to the seat back along the direction of the seat back; and a headrest body attached to the stay. The first stay includes a plurality of first notches for maintaining the position of the headrest body, the plurality of first notches defining an adjusting area of the headrest body. The second stay includes at least one second notch, the second notch defining a storage area of the headrest body different from the adjusting area. The operator can lower the headrest into the storage area even if the vehicle seat is a rear seat. This improves the operator's field of vision when necessary.

摘要： In the case of a headrest provided with an arrangement for securing the end position of a support rod, where the catch effect for the removal of the headrest with both hands can be temporarily cancelled, and the catch, when the support rod is pushed in, is automatically brought back into the position where it is ready to catch, a two-armed lever is disposed at the lower end of an operating rod which takes up two defined end positions. In one end position, the free end of the lever is swivelled out of the path of motion of the support rod and the catch is in effect whereas in the other end position, the catch effect is cancelled and the free end is swivelled into the path of motion of the support rod.

摘要： A head-rest device is disclosed which comprises a head-rest stay, a head-rest holder mounted to a seat back and a lock mechanism provided within the head-rest holder. The head-rest stay is inserted into its associated head-rest holder. The head-rest stay is formed with two or more pairs of slotted recesses on its circumferential surface. Such pair of slotted recesses are located at required intervals in a vertical direction from each other and correspond to each other in a staggered manner. An engagement body, which has a required thickness and is formed with a stay insertion bore having a diameter substantially equal to that of the head-rest stay, is inclinably inserted via a spring into the head-rest holder. A retaining member is also provided which is capable of retaining the engagement body in its inclined position in which the upper and lower edge portions of the stay insertion bore are engaged with a pair of slotted recesses respectively. The lock mechanism is formed by inserting the spring, engagement body and retaining member into the head-rest holder in this order.
