    摘要: A head piece for movable or stationary fueling systems, in particular for aircraft fueling, includes a filler-neck coupling for connecting it to a tank which is to be filled or emptied, is easily handleable, is exposed to little wear, and permits quick refueling and defueling without any need for hoses. It includes a line having five pipe sections which are movably connected with one another by swivel joints which have a degree of freedom. At the end of the line remote from the filler-neck coupling, there is a further swivel joint for connecting the head piece to the fueling system. Of the five swivel joints, three are arranged with axes of rotation which are parallel to one another, and the axes of rotation of the remaining two joints are perpendicular to the axes of rotation of the other three joints.

    摘要: A loading arm assembly of the type which includes a generally vertical tubular loading riser having a tubular swivel joint on the upper end portion thereof to which is connected one end of a tubular loading arm, the tubular loading arm being adapted to revolve about a generally horizontal axis and to revolve about a generally vertical axis via the swivel joint, with the loading arm assembly being further provided with biasing apparatus for continuously urging the revolution of the loading arm upwardly about the generally horizontal axis. The loading arm assembly further includes a loading arm keeper which comprises a rigid arm having first and second end portions, with a clamp on the first end portion of the rigid arm for securing the first end portion of the rigid arm to the generally vertical loading riser with the rigid arm extending outwardly from the pipe loading riser, and with a loading arm retainer on the second end portion of the rigid arm for selectively engaging the tubular loading arm so as to resist the upward revolution of the tubular loading arm about the generally horizontal axis responsive to the biasing apparatus, and to prevent revolution of the tubular loading arm about the generally vertical axis.

    摘要: An outwardly extending discharge line is pivotally connected to a supply line. A torsion spring unit urges the discharge line from a lower dispensing position to a raised position. Apparatus is provided for automatically opening and closing a valve in the supply line in response to movement of the discharge line between its positions. An outlet valve is provided at the outlet of the discharge line and is opened and closed by a pneumatic cylinder controlled by movement of a scale. The outlet valve is a balltype valve having a valve insert with openings of a size such that surface tension of the fluent material will prevent dripping. The insert is formed of a bearing material and is adjustable against the ball valve element to accommodate any wear.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to an apparatus and method whereby liquid is supplied at a container from a supply line only when a vapor seal is formed between the supply line and the container. Flow of liquid is automatically stopped when the liquid in the tank reaches a predetermined level, when the pressure in the tank exceeds a predetermined value, or when the vapor seal is broken. Vapor is removed from the container during filling thereof. When filling ceases or the supply line is no longer vapor sealed to the container, the vapor removal line is automatically blocked to prevent escape of vapors into the atmosphere.

    摘要: An inventive boom arm for a concrete-distributing boom. The boom arm has an elongate box-profile support formed from two flanges and two webs connecting the flanges laterally. The boom arm has first and second articulation points spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the boom arm. A first flange opening is disposed at the first articulation point and a second flange opening is disposed at the second articulation point. A sealing-partition seals a cavity region of the box-profile support at least in a region of the first and second flange openings. The sealing partition can be provided in the form of a plate that continuously spans the cavity region between the first and second articulation points and is connected laterally to the webs. The first articulation point is located at the end of the boom arm and is arranged within the cavity region and is covered by the partition plate.
