Abstract:
A door closer with a teach mode is disclosed. The door closer that can be self powered and includes a control unit to intelligently control a valve within the door closer to vary the operating characteristics of the door closer as needed. The control unit includes a teach mode that can be invoked at installation time, or any other time, so that appropriate information can be stored in memory regarding an installation configuration, relative jamb position, swing (right or left handed) and other parameters. These values can be accessed by control circuitry in the controller for use in controlling the door closer during operation.
Abstract:
A dampening hinge for example, for furniture, having a hinge cup with a U-shaped pin, a connecting arm and a hinge base, where one end of the connecting arm is attached to the upper arm of a U-shaped pin and the other end of the connecting arm is attached to the hinge base, the lower arm of the U-shaped pin is attached to a pull rod of a damper mounted on the hinge base by means of a hinge arm module; the hinge arm module includes a swinging arm and a movable swinging arm, where the middle portion of the swinging arm is attached to the hinge base, one end of the swinging arm is hinged with the lower arm of the U-shaped pin and the other end of the swinging arm is hinged with the movable swinging arm, the movable swinging arm is further connected to the pull rod of the dampener and the hinge base, is described.
Abstract:
An example furniture hinge includes a damping device having a linearly movable damping cylinder, which is hingably connected to a door stop element and a damping guidance element. When closing the furniture hinge, the damping guide element can be pivoted against a pivot stop on the body fastening element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping device for damping an opening and/or closing motion of a furniture fitting, wherein the damping device comprises a restoring mechanism, by which an actuating element of the damping device can be moved into a starting position of the subsequent damping stroke after damping has been carried out, wherein the location of the starting position of the actuating element can be set relative to the damping device by an adjusting unit. The actuating element of the damping device is rotatably supported, wherein the adjusting unit can be used to adjustably limit the restoring stroke of the actuating element relative to the damping device.
Abstract:
A damper unit which brakes the speed of movement of a moving body by using a piston damper provided with a cylinder and a piston rod which is connected to a piston inside the cylinder, is provided. The damper unit includes a case wherein the above-mentioned piston damper is disposed; a transmitting member slidably provided inside the case and transmitting an external force accompanied by the movement of the above-mentioned moving body; a link member whose one end side is attached to the above-mentioned case so as to become the rotational center, and also whose the other end side is pivotally supported by the above-mentioned transmitting member; and a connecting member connected between both ends of the link member and being in contact with or connected to either the piston rod or the cylinder.
Abstract:
To provide a vehicle door opening/closing device arranged to pivotally connect a vehicle body and a door with a hinge member and provided with a damper arranged to impart a braking force to the door when the door is turned, the damper being directly connected to the hinge member, the hinge member includes a first hinge arm fixed to a floor, a pin shaft fixed to the first hinge arm and extending outward of the first hinge arm, and a second hinge arm pivotally mounted on the pin shaft and fixed to a lower end of a lower door, and the damper includes a rotors connected to a projecting portion of the pin shaft, a housing rotatably mounted on the rotor and fixed to the lower door, and a braking means contained in the housing to impart a braking force to the housing when the housing is rotated relative to the rotor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge, particularly for movable furniture parts (1), comprising: at least seven rotational pins; at least two stop parts (2, 3) for fastening to furniture parts (1) or the like, and; a linear damping device for damping an opening and/or closing movement of the hinge. This hinge is designed in such a manner that all components (8, 9) of the linear damping device (7) execute a motion relative to both stop parts (2, 3) during the opening and/or closing movement of the hinge.
Abstract:
A device for buffering the closing impact of furniture doors is disclosed. A valve (40) is mounted around a piston rob (23) of a piston (20) in such a fashion that an oil gap (41) is defined between the outer peripheral surface of the valve (40) and the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder (10), the valve having a recessed oil passageway (47) formed on an axial end surface. A protrusion element (50) has a plurality of oil grooves (51) A check valve (60) slides reciprocally along the compression direction of oil. When an external load is exerted to the piston (20), a check valve (60) moves along with the protrusion element (50) and simultaneously oil contained in the oil chamber (11) flows through the recessed oil passageway (47) via the oil grooves (51) defined between the protrusion element (50) to absorb an impact generated during the closing of the furniture door.
Abstract:
Device for securing a soft ending of the opening movement of a drawer as the latter is drawn towards an outer limit stop (10), the drawer being mounted in a (not-shown) furniture body and capable of being pulled out from said body, and in which there may be one or more rails (1, 3) between the drawer and the furniture body. The device comprises a damper (6) filled with a fluid medium attached to the furniture body—or to a rail of the furniture body—and a piston with a piston rod (7) being reciprocable in said damper (6), the free end of the piston rod (7) being attached to a tilt-able rocker (9). Whenever the piston rod (7) close to its outermost position is moved in and out in the damper (6), the rocker can be moved on a guide portion (17)—mounted at the damper (6)—between a first end position (FIG. 2) close to the damper, in which a first pin (19) mounted at the back of the drawer may engage with the rocker (9), and a second end position (10) far from the damper (6), in which the piston rod (7) is in its outermost position. This device can work in an especially reliable way.
Abstract:
A damping device furniture door leaves includes a damper housing with a base plate whose base area rests against and is fastened to an effective bearing area of the door opening of the furniture door leaf. The base plate includes a screw bore through which a fastening screw can be screwed into the effective bearing area. A spring projection extending from the base area of the base plate can be pushed behind the base area against spring resistance.
