摘要: An emergency door closing device that can be installed upon existing doors and hinges to automatically close doors in the response to smoke and fire. The improvements incorporated therein include a hinge cam pivot member that attaches to an existing hinge member of a door and produces a moment force about the existing hinge member allowing a reduced force necessary to pivot the door into a closed position. Further, a novel spring, cam, and lever system is incorporated to activate the moment force to close the door.

摘要: A vertical door latch assembly includes a housing and a bolt movably attached to the housing having a catch portion. A drive motor is located within the housing and is configured to selectively move a lock assembly between a locked position preventing movement of the bolt and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt. A controller is in electrical communication with the drive motor and is configured to direct the actuator lock assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position. A force sensor is in electrical communication with the controller configured to measured when a force exceeds a predetermined threshold.

摘要: An electronic lock includes exterior and interior assemblies. The electronic lock includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The exterior and interior assemblies are connected to, and capable of actuating, the bolt. The exterior assembly includes an escutcheon and a sensor to selectively actuate movement of the bolt. The sensor has a first side and an opposite second side and the first side is accessible from the escutcheon and the sensor is in communication with, and connected to, the processor of the interior assembly. The exterior assembly includes a first seal positioned around the sensor at the first side between the sensor and the escutcheon. The exterior assembly includes a retainer that is positioned at the second side of the sensor to position the sensor immediately adjacent the escutcheon.

摘要: An apparatus comprises a base plate configured to be coupled to a door, the door configured to be positioned in an open position and a closed position; a closing mechanism coupled to the base plate and configured to be coupled to a hinge of the door and having an unprimed state and a primed state, the closing mechanism configured to be transitioned between the unprimed state and the primed state by a user; wherein in the unprimed state the closing mechanism is decoupled from operation of the door; and in the primed state the closing mechanism is configured to move the door into the closed position responsive to receipt of a signal, and the closing mechanism is configured to allow movement of the door between the open position and the closed position in absence of the signal.

摘要: A method of operating an entry system of a motor vehicle includes monitoring a battery voltage and the entry system continuously using a control circuit of the latch assembly in a non-emergency mode. Power is provided to the control circuit in the event of a loss of power from a main power source using a backup energy source of the control circuit. The method includes transitioning to an emergency mode in response to determining loss of power from the main power source or failure of the component of the entry system. An actuation group associated with the latch assembly is operated with the control circuit using power from the backup energy source of the control circuit in response to determining that actuation from a plurality of pins of a mechanical emergency switch assembly indicates a command from a user to unlatch the closure member in the emergency mode.

摘要: A method of allowing access to a receptacle for securing a package includes: sensing an opening and closing of the lid; activating, in response to determining the lid is sufficiently closed, the lock mechanism to transition from the unlocked state to the locked state; scanning an email message in a user's email account to identify a reference or tracking number of a second package; parsing the email message to obtain a delivery code; receiving entry of the delivery code; activating the lock mechanism based on entry of the delivery code to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state; sensing a second opening and closing of the lid; activating the lock mechanism to transition from the unlocked state to the locked state; receiving information corresponding to entry of an access code; activating the lock mechanism to transition from the locked state to the unlocked state.

摘要: A touch pad button system for electric door operators is comprised of a touch pad, an electric door operator in communication with the touch pad, and a door operable by the electric door operator pursuant to a predefined set of instructions. The door and the electric door operator are at a location remote from the touch pad. The touch pad includes a tactile sensing member, a shorting pad, a bottom circuit and a dielectric member. The touch pad also has a power source and transmitter for sending signals received by a tactile sensing member to the electric door operator. An adhesive adheres the touch pad to a surface. Upon receiving a signal, the electric door operator opens a door pursuant to a predefined set of instructions. The door and electric door operator are at a location remote from the touch pad.
