Abstract: An electronic cigarette has an atomizing device and a battery device electrically connected to the atomizing device. The atomizing device has a connecting assembly connected to the battery device, a movable assembly rotatable about the connection assembly, and a locking mechanism disposed between the movable assembly and the connecting assembly, the locking mechanism is capable of releasing the locking between the movable assembly and the connecting assembly under external force, to make the movable assembly rotate circumferentially around the axis of the connecting assembly, to achieve alignment between the atomizing device and the battery device. When the locking mechanism is in the unlocked state, the user can align the atomizing device with the battery device by rotating the movable assembly so that the assembled electronic cigarette has a more pleasant appearance and more convenient to handle after the alignment.

Abstract: A biometric handheld vaporizer has a housing, a mouthpiece, an oil reservoir, an atomizer, a battery, a battery charging port, a fingerprint sensor, and a microcontroller. The handheld vaporizer remains inoperable until a user submits a photo ID for age verification. One method of using a biometric handheld vaporizer involves inputting fingerprints into the vaporizer, the fingerprints stored on the microcontroller; and, when a user desires to use the vaporizer, placing the authorized fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor, which, upon authorization, closes a circuit to activate an atomizer within the vaporizer.

Abstract: A vaporizer apparatus is provided. The vaporizer apparatus includes a cartridge body and a child resistant device. The cartridge body includes an activation button and an inhalation portion. The inhalation portion is operable to allow a user to draw vapor from the cartridge body. The child resistant device includes an outer cap and an inner cap nestled within an inside chamber of the outer cap. The inner cap is coupled with the cartridge body to prevent access to the inhalation of the cartridge body. In a locked configuration, the outer cap and the inner cap are disengaged such that the outer cap is freely movable independent of the inner cap. In an unlocking configuration, the outer cap and the inner cap are engaged with one another such that movement of the outer cap detaches the child resistant device from the cartridge body.

Other techniques relating to disabling the smoking substitute device are also disclosed.
