    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evolve a spark discharge preventing effect of an electrostatic coating device.SOLUTION: One coating robot has an arm equipped with a plurality of electrostatic coating devices 100 close to each other and the plurality of the electrostatic coating devices 100 is connected in parallel with each other to one high-voltage generator 102. A hollow rotary shaft 108 driven by an air motor 104 is disposed with nine plate-shaped resistors 120 arranged circumferentially at intervals. The nine plate-shaped resistors 120 are connected in series and a high voltage is applied via the resistors 120 to a rotary atomization head 110. The rotary atomization head 110 is made of a semiconductive resin.

    摘要: An aspect of the present invention enables longer use of an electrostatic atomizer by employing a feature for removing foreign objects. An electrostatic atomizer sprays a liquid from a tip of a first electrode of the electrostatic atomizer by applying a voltage between the spray electrode and a reference electrode of the electrostatic atomizer. The electrostatic atomizer includes: a selecting section which selects a cleaning mode or a normal mode, the cleaning mode being for cleaning the reference electrode, the normal mode being for normal operation of the electrostatic atomizer; and a setting section which sets a cleaning voltage so as to be higher than a normal spray voltage, the cleaning voltage being applied in the cleaning mode, the normal spray voltage being applied in the normal mode.

    摘要: A method of forming a material structure from structural units contained within a liquid solution in a spray head is described. The liquid solution includes a solvent and a solute, the solute comprising a plurality of the structural units, the structural units including monomer units, oligomer units, or combinations thereof. The method comprises forming droplets of the liquid solution including the structural units, and spraying the droplets on a substrate, thereby substantially increasing the reactivity of the structural units within the droplets relative to the structural units within the liquid solution in the spray head. The increase in reactivity can result from the droplets containing an excess of a particular ion, the ion excess resulting from a voltage applied to conductive walls of the device which dispenses the droplets. The material structure is then formed on the substrate from the more highly reactive structural units within the droplets.

    摘要: In an example, an electrostatic spray module includes a base unit formed of a sturdy, rigid, liquid impermeable, electrically insulative material and a cover formed of a sturdy, rigid, liquid impermeable, electrically insulative material and sized for covering the base unit. The base unit and the cover configured for mating engagement together so as to form a liquid impermeable, electrically insulative, protective enclosure when the module is in a closed state to keep the internal components clean and dry and prevents system form high voltage shorting and prevents leakage of current by inhibiting a high voltage from establishing a return path to ground. The spray module includes a quick access latch and gasket system—with no tools required to open for maintenance. The module includes integral place holders for components including air supply manifold and variable voltage supply to provide a selectable high voltage level to accommodate various spraying application.
