The vibration damping mount includes: a substantially annular damping member that has an insertion hole, through which the bolt to be attached to an attachment boss is inserted, and externally surrounds the bolt; a grommet that includes a first retaining section for retaining a heat shield, a second retaining section for retaining the damping member, and a coupling section for coupling the first retaining section and the second retaining section, the second retaining section, the coupling section, and the first retaining section being provided in this order from the attachment boss side; and a collar member that includes a pair of flange sections, which nip the damping member from both sides in an axial direction with gaps formed on both the sides, and a coupling section, which couples the pair of flange sections each other and has a gap in a radial direction between the coupling section and the damping member.

    摘要: A printer having a novel and improved mechanism for damping noise caused by the vibration of a motor of the printer is provided. The printer includes a frame having a hole therein, and a carriage mounted on the frame capable of moving relative thereto. A motor is mounted on the frame and operatively coupled to the carriage to reciprocate relative to the frame. A shock absorber, made of a resilient material, is interposed between the motor and the frame. The shock absorber has a stepped cylindrical shape, including a large diameter portion having an outer diameter less than the inner diameter of the frame hole, the frame having a thickness. The small diameter portion has a length greater than the thickness of the frame such that a portion of the small diameter portion projects beyond the frame to form a projecting end when the shock absorber is disposed within the hole. A screw is inserted into the shock absorber, the screw fixing the motor to the frame. A nut securing the screw is provided such that at least one of the screw and nut clamps the projected end of the small diameter portion of the shock absorber against the frame.

    摘要: A base for operative association with an operating mechanism sensitive to horizontal vibration, such as an ink jet printer, supports a horizontal document feeder plate and associated drive operative to advance documents in sequential fashion from a stack toward the operating mechanism. A drive linkage interconnects a rotatable drive shaft to the feeder plate to effect horizontal reciprocating movement thereof. A counterweight is associated with the drive so as to substantially offset or nullify horizontal inertia forces imparted to the base by the feeder plate whereby to minimize horizontal vibration of the base. In an embodiment utilized for intermittent feeding of documents to the operating mechanism, a balance arm and associated counterweight cooperate with the feeder plate to offset horizontal inertia forces imparted to the base, and also minimize start-up torque required to initiate reciprocating movement of the feeder plate after stoppage.

    摘要: An impact dot line printer has a hammer bank equipped with a plurality of printing heads along printing lines mounted on the upper side of a belt extended between a pair of rotational drums. A counter balancer is mounted on the lower side thereof, the hammer bank and the counter balancer being reciprocated in the directions reverse to each other. Since repelling springs are provided on both left and right sides in order to reduce thrust required for deceleration at the end of shuttling operation of the hammer bank and the counter balancer, vibrations or noises caused by the collisions with the spring might occur. But by the present invention, rotors are provided with eccentric weights which act so as to offset force couple at the time of the collisions with the repelling springs, whereby the shock force caused by the collisions is sharply decreased to suppress the vibrations or noises.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a shuttle type line printer which is characterized in that among members constituting printing elements of the shuttle type line printer, such as a permanent magnet, an electromagnet, a yoke and a printing hammer, the permanent magnet occupying a considerable proportion of the total weight of the printing elements is separated from the shuttle to reduce the weight loaded on the shuttle, and the permanent magnet separated from the shuttle is used as a part or all of a balancer indispensable for removing lateral vibrations having fatal influences on the shuttle type line printer. In a conventional shuttle type line printer, all of printing elements such as a permanent magnet, an electromagnet, a yoke and a printing hammer are loaded on one shuttle and a balancer having a weight corresponding to a heavy total weight of the shuttle should be disposed to remove undesirable lateral vibrations. The shuttle type line printer of the present invention is advantageous over this conventional shuttle type line printer in that the permanent magnet alone or with a slight auxiliary weight is sufficient as the balancer and the weight and space required for the balancer in the conventional printer can be removed completely or partially, with the result that the size and weight of the printer as a whole can be reduced, the printing speed can be increased and the energy consumption can be decreased.

    摘要: A counterbalanced bidirectional drive for a hammer bank shuttle assembly within a line printer utilizes a band formed into an endless loop extending around and between an opposite pair of rotatable pulleys on opposite sides of the pulleys. A hammer bank-carrying shuttle assembly is coupled to a portion of the band between the pulleys on one side of the pulleys and is counterbalanced by an elongated bar of similar mass coupled to a portion of the band between the pulleys on the opposite side of the pulleys from the shuttle assembly. A DC motor coupled to one of the pulleys is alternately energized in opposite senses so as to bidirectionally drive the shuttle assembly along a linear path between opposite limits defined by resilient members impacted by an element mounted on the counterbalancing bar.
