    摘要： A frame structure of a printing apparatus is provided with a main frame having a developer unit and a paper supply and output unit, a subframe installed in the main frame, having a printing unit, and a damping member installed between the main frame and the subframe, for absorbing vibration which would otherwise be transferred from the main frame to the subframe. Thus, the damping member can prevent the vibration generated by the developer unit or the paper supply and output unit from being transferred to the printing unit.

    摘要： A base for operative association with an operating mechanism sensitive to horizontal vibration, such as an ink jet printer, supports a horizontal document feeder plate and associated drive operative to advance documents in sequential fashion from a stack toward the operating mechanism. A drive linkage interconnects a rotatable drive shaft to the feeder plate to effect horizontal reciprocating movement thereof. A counterweight is associated with the drive so as to substantially offset or nullify horizontal inertia forces imparted to the base by the feeder plate whereby to minimize horizontal vibration of the base. In an embodiment utilized for intermittent feeding of documents to the operating mechanism, a balance arm and associated counterweight cooperate with the feeder plate to offset horizontal inertia forces imparted to the base, and also minimize start-up torque required to initiate reciprocating movement of the feeder plate after stoppage.

    摘要： A print head for a dot printer of the present invention includes a plurality of armatures which support a print wire on one end. A back stopper is provided on the rear side of the armatures to stop the armature as the print wire retreats after a print strike. The back stopper is provided with openings so that when an armature strikes the back stopper, upon withdrawal from the print strike, the noise emanated from the back stopper is reduced. A sound dampening piece may be abutted to the rear of the back stopper to further reduce the noise.

    摘要： An adaptive paper slot device providing adjustment for the location of paper slot feeds to and from a printer located within an acoustic silencer enclosure to permit using one enclosure with a number of printers having different paper feed locations. The adapter device is mounted on one wall of the silencer enclosure and has a number of adjustable horizontal bars which cover the end of the enclosure with horizontal slots between the bars. The bars can be relocated to move the slots for paper feed to any desired vertical location. The inner surface of the bars is covered with sound absorbing material to maintain the integrity of the acoustic silencer enclosure excepting for the proper feed slots themselves.
