摘要: Device (10) for forming packs of bags (P) for moving from a first area (S1), where an already produced bag (P) is arranged, to a second area (S2) for collecting the bags in packs, comprising at least one rotor (14) carrying a pair of supports (17) for the bag (P) and suction means to fix the bag (P) to the support while the rotor (14) rotates. The device advantageously comprises means (18) designed to maintain said support (17) in a position parallel to itself during the movement between the first area (S1) and the second area (S2).

摘要: A collating conveyor (4, 6) receives products (2) sequentially from a delivery point and collates them into groups (8). A pusher (9) transfers groups (8) of products from the collating conveyor (4, 6) to a receiving trough (10), where they are turned through a predetermined angle B. The collating conveyor (4, 6) is inclined to the horizontal and is provided with lugs (5, 7), each of which supports a stack (8) of products under the effect of gravity. A pick-and-place head (11) picks up a group (8) of products from the trough (10) by gripping and clamping the products (2) together.

摘要: Continuously accumulating printing works products are transported, over a comparatively long distance in a manner which consumes minimum manufacturing facility floor space, by being serially fed to clock-pulse controlled grippers of a continuously driven conveyor. The grippers grasp the products in the area of their leading edges and subsequently transport the products in tile-formation over a defined distance to delivery apparatus.

摘要: A yoke-type stripper for an article stacker in which a series of paddles extending horizontally from vertically moving conveyor chains each carries an article that becomes a member of the stack. The stripper has rear and front rows of laterally spaced apart vertical bars. Carrier bars extending horizontally from vertical bars in the rear row constitute the bottom of the yoke. The paddles have fingers which support the articles and which pass downwardly between the bars to let the bottom article in the stack rest on the top edges of the carrier bars. A shuttle table is located adjacent the yoke and the table has slots into which the yoke bars can shift. The carrier bars are at a higher level than the table top when the stack is accumulating. Fluid work cylinders shift the yoke and the stack therein to the table slots while the carrier bars are kept at said higher level clear of the table so the pads are not dragged. One cylinder is actuated to lower the yoke in the table slots sufficiently for the top edges of the carrier bars to become flush with the table top. The yoke is then caused to dwell while the stack is pushed out.

摘要: An apparatus piles a continuous stream of booklets in a stack, with a succeeding booklet in the stream being piled atop a preceding booklet. When the stack attains a predetermined size, the stack is ejected from the apparatus without stopping delivery to the apparatus of the continuous stream of booklets which are accumulated in a temporary holding stack, during ejection of the other stack. The temporary holding stack is depleted at a rate faster than it formed, following the ejection of the other stack.

摘要: A machine and method disclosed for stacking articles adjacent the end of a conveyor having angularly conjoined article panels. The machine comprises a pair of endless chains mounted for orbital movement about opposite sides of a flight path extending from the end of the conveyor. Drive means are provided for orbiting the chains. Stop means are mounted to each of the chains for stopping articles received from the conveyor. Dog means are mounted to the chains adjacent the stops for engaging one of the article conjoined panels in propelling articles received from the conveyor along the flight path. Prop means are also mounted to each of the chains adjacent the dog means for engaging another of the article conjoined panels in at least partially supporting the articles as they are propelled along the flight path.

摘要: A tray stacking system comprises a plurality of tray stacking members each supported on drive chains for pivotal movement between a tray receiving and supporting position and a dormant position. The tray stacking members are arranged in opposed pairs and comprise axially extending ledges having sufficient length to receive three trays. The drive chains support the tray stacking members for downward movement in a tray stacking course extending from a tray receiving zone to a tray stacking zone. In use, the tray stacking members comprising each pair are initially pivoted to the tray receiving and supporting positions and are thereafter positioned in the tray receiving zone. Trays are then received on the ledges of the tray stacking members from a tray washing system. As the tray stacking members are filled to capacity with trays a trigger is engaged, whereupon the drive chains are actuated to move the loaded tray stacking members downwardly and to position the next pair of tray stacking members in the tray receiving zone. Step-by-step downward movement of the loaded tray stacking members in the tray stacking course is continued until the tray stacking members engage stacks of trays in the tray stacking zone. At this point the tray stacking members are pivoted outwardly to the dormant positions, thereby depositing the trays onto the stacks.
