    Abstract: An applique is intended to be affixed to a timepiece dial, and includes at least one foot portion having a first end attached to the applique and a second, free end, the foot portion being arranged to be capable of insertion into a hole provided in the dial. The foot portion includes, on the side of the free end thereof, a plastically deformable area arranged to form, after deformation, once the foot portion is inserted into the hole in the dial, at least one locking area of the foot portion on the dial.

    Abstract: A portable device, and related method, that allows the values of one or more parameters characterising the operation of a mechanical watch to be measured. The device is provided with a contact microphone including a contact piece and a piezoelectric element. The contact piece is brought into physical contact with the case of a watch during a measurement period. The device further includes a power source, such as a rechargeable or replaceable battery, a microprocessor, a memory, and a screen for displaying the values measured, preferably a touch-sensitive screen. Preferably, the dimensions of the device are of a same order of magnitude as the case of a wristwatch. The device may have the shape of a horological eyeglass.

    Abstract: Timepiece movement fitted with an electromagnetic transducer comprising at least one coil and a rotor formed of a central shaft, of two magnetic plates that are mounted on the central shaft and of a plurality of bipolar magnets which are axially polarized and mounted on at least one of the two magnetic plates, said at least one coil penetrating at least partially into a circular space which is defined by the rotor between its two magnetic plates and left free by this rotor. The central shaft comprises a pinion which engages with a wheel of the timepiece movement, this pinion being arranged between the two magnetic plates and said wheel being partially arranged between the two magnetic plates, in an angular sector of the circular space that is left free by the electromagnetic transducer, so as to engage with the pinion. Advantageously, said wheel has a roller that is almost or entirely non-conductive and a non-magnetic staff.

    Abstract: A method of detecting gaits of an individual with a sensor worn by the individual. The sensor includes an accelerometer and a processing unit. The method includes obtaining an signal representing one or more sensor acceleration values; sampling the signal to obtain a sampled signal; segmenting the sampled signal into windows to obtain a segmented acceleration signal; extracting a feature set from the segmented acceleration signal; determining a probability value, for a respective window, n, where n is a positive integer greater than zero, the probability value giving an estimated probability value of gait occurrence for the individual during the respective window; modifying the estimated probability value by using a histogram of previously detected gait durations to obtain a modified probability value; and determining, based on the modified probability value, and by using a determination threshold whether or not the respective window represents gait occurrence.

    Abstract: A one-piece bar is for attaching a bracelet to a watch. The bar extends in a longitudinal direction and includes two pivots and a body connecting the two pivots, each pivot being intended to be introduced into a corresponding housing of a respective horn of a watch case. The body includes a plurality of elements connected to one another, each element having a hollowed portion, in order to give the bar longitudinal elasticity and allow elastic deformation thereof in the longitudinal direction.
