Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion, a seat back having a side support, a frame sidewall in the side support, and a side airbag device. The side airbag device has an airbag in the side support, and an inflator for supplying a gas to the airbag. The airbag has a first chamber to be deployed toward a vehicle front side, a second chamber, and an inner vent hole at a partition between the first and second chambers. The second chamber starts to be deployed prior to the deployment of the first chamber. The gas flows from the second chamber to the first chamber via the inner vent hole. When the second chamber is deployed, at least one of an upper region or a lower region of the second chamber protrudes toward the vehicle front side than a middle region of the second chamber.

[Solution] A side airbag apparatus 100 includes a frame-side plate portion 114 of a seat 102, and an airbag module 106 attached to the frame-side plate portion 114. The airbag module 106 includes a bracket 112, an inflator 110, an airbag cushion 108, and a soft cover 116 that is wrapped around the bracket 112 and the airbag cushion 108 in a housing form. The bracket 112 includes a through-hole 128 through which a stud bolt 118 extending from the inflator 110 passes, and a hook 130 provided at predetermined location on the front side of the frame-side plate portion 114. The soft cover 116 includes a bolt anchoring hole 120 to which the stud bolt 118 is hooked, and a hook anchoring hole 122 to which the hook 130 of the bracket 112 is hooked.

To provide a driver's side airbag device where an internal diffuser and an airbag cushion can be stitched so as to be able to promptly break.
[Resolution]
A driver's side airbag device 100 is provided with a diffuser 124 that is contained in an airbag cushion 104 and straightens gas flow from an inflator 112. The diffuser 124 has a connecting part 136 that is connected to the inflator 112 and one or a plurality of supply ports that supply gas received from the inflator 112 into the airbag cushion 104. The supply ports include a passenger side supply port 148 that overlaps at a predetermined location of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 with the diffuser 124 contained therein. The driver's side airbag device 100 is further provided with a temporary stitched part 150 that breakably stitches the diffuser 124 and a predetermined portion of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 across the occupant side supply opening 148 of the diffuser 124.
