Abstract:
A freestanding partition panel for dividing a floor space includes a rigid partition frame having vertical side frame members and first and second horizontal frame members extending between the vertical side frame members to form a vertically enlarged opening through the frame, and an open space within the panel. At least one intermediate horizontal cross member extends across the vertically enlarged opening and defines upper and lower openings through the frame. The intermediate cross member and at least a selected one of the first and second horizontal frame members include a plurality of horizontally spaced apart attachment locations defining a plurality of discrete, serially adjacent mounting spaces. The partition panel further includes a utility unit that is mountable in a selected one of the mounting spaces. The partition panel further includes a first cover panel secured to the partition frame and extending horizontally between the side edge of the utility unit and the selected vertical side frame member. The first cover panel is connected to the intermediate horizontal cross member and extends vertically between the intermediate horizontal cross member and the selected one of the first and second members. A second cover panel is secured to the partition frame, and extends horizontally between the vertical side frame members. The second cover panel extends vertically between the intermediate horizontal cross member and the other of the selected one of the first and second horizontal members.
Abstract:
An inflatable restraint system for attachment to an occupant seat of an automotive vehicle has a canister with an inflatable restraint deployable therefrom, a chute member slidably engaged with the canister for directing deployment of the inflatable restraint and movable between a stowed position when the inflatable restraint is uninflated and the deployed position when the inflatable restraint is inflated. Tethers or other retention devices are attached between the canister and the chute member to retain the chute member in a predetermined position with respect to the canister so as to direct deployment of the inflatable restraint in a predetermined direction from the occupant seat.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat back frame assembly includes a substantially U-shaped frame assembly incorporating a side impact airbag module as a structural, load-bearing component thereof. The substantially U-shaped frame assembly includes a curved top portion having opposing ends and a spacer attached to one of the opposing ends. The side impact airbag module has first and second ends, with the first end being attached to the other of the opposing ends. First and second support members are attached to the spacer and the second end of the airbag module, respectively, for securing the seat back frame assembly in the vehicle.
Abstract:
A method identifying electronic communication components employed for transmitting and receiving electronic communications for subsequent testing thereof is provided which identifies each electronic communication component using a digital photo thereof. Communications characteristics required for communicating with each identified component are discerned using the component identity ascertained from the digital image.
Abstract:
This document presents a system and method for defining and controlling lights, audio systems, and any other home automation device as part of an action group. Action groups may be defined to serve as a single point of control for all devices assigned to a control button such that selection of the control button toggles on or off all lights and devices assigned to the action group. Action groups may be defined for locations that are in communication with a master control unit and do not have to be electrically connected to the master control unit. Multiple action groups may be defined and activated through a single master control unit.
Abstract:
A method of removing an artefact from an image captured with a motion invariant camera is disclosed. The captured image is de-blurred using a spatially invariant blur kernel. An edge filter with a fixed offset is applied to the de-blurred image to identify the location of at least one artefact. A parameter is estimated based on a region either side of the identified location. The at least one artefact is removed from the de-blurred image using the parameter.
Abstract:
Described is a device and method of measuring the linear position of a piston 002 movable within a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder barrel 001. The measuring device includes a photo optical sensing apparatus 011 mounted at the cylinder head. The photo optical sensing apparatus 011 can be located inside or outside of the cylinder 001. The sensing apparatus 011 design utilizes a typical optical sensing apparatus, and optional functional modules for determining absolute displacement, and communication. Calibration locations, which are used to obtain absolute displacement measurements, are determined by calibration images or separate sensors indicating their presence.
