Abstract: An organic electroluminescence (EL) display panel including: a substrate; an insulating resin layer extending from an image display region to a peripheral region; an organic EL element array within the image display region; a sealing layer extending from the image display region to the peripheral region; and a sealing reinforcement layer, laminated in this order. The sealing layer includes first, second, and third sealing layers laminated in this order from the substrate, the first and third sealing layers being made of an inorganic material and the second sealing layer being made of a resin. In the outer peripheral portion of the sealing layer, the first and third sealing layers are in direct contact with each other and cover an outer end of the insulating resin layer. An outer end of the sealing reinforcement layer is outside the outer end of the insulating resin layer in plan view.

Abstract: A transfer circuit includes an input circuit, a reset circuit, an output circuit, and an output stabilizer circuit, and obtains an input signal at an input terminal, holds the input signal, and outputs the input signal from an output terminal as an output signal in synchronization with a clock signal. The transfer circuit includes an inverter circuit that has an input terminal connected to at least one of the input and output terminals of the transfer circuit, and outputs, from an output terminal, an inverted signal having an inverted polarity of at least one of the input and output signals. The reset circuit includes a first transistor having a control signal end connected to the output terminal of the inverter circuit, the first transistor switching continuity and discontinuity of a signal path between one end of a first capacitor that holds the input signal and a first power supply.

A recessed part is opened to extend in a column direction in at least one gap between the pixel electrodes adjacent to each other in a row direction on the planarization layer, the common electrode is disposed continuously in the recessed part, and a power feed auxiliary interconnect extending in the column direction and formed of an applied film is disposed on an upper surface of the common electrode.

Abstract: An EL display apparatus is provided. A display screen includes pixels arranged in a matrix, with each pixel including an EL device and a pixel circuit. A source driver circuit is configured to output an analog video signal to each pixel. A gate driver circuit is on at least one side of the display screen, with the gate driver circuit including first and second gate driver circuits. Each pixel includes a driving transistor, a first switch transistor, and a second switch transistor. A gate terminal of the first switch transistor is connected to a first gate signal line of the first gate driver circuit, and a gate terminal of the second switch transistor is connected to a second gate signal line of the second gate driver circuit. The first and second switch transistors are on/off controlled, independently, by the first and second gate driver circuits.

Abstract: An active-matrix display device includes pixels arranged in a matrix, and each of the pixels includes subpixels that are arranged along an X direction and emit light of mutually different colors. Each of the subpixels includes a TFT element provided on a TFT substrate and an organic EL element provided on the TFT substrate. The organic EL element has an opening which is a region from which emitted light exits, and the TFT substrate includes a first layer and a second layer. When same-colored subpixels of two of the pixels adjacent in the X direction are seen in a plan view, the first layer has a portion arranged in line symmetry between the same-colored subpixels and the second layer is disposed at an identical position in the openings of the same-colored subpixels.

Abstract: A display device includes a display region, an organic insulating layer, a display element, and a moisture-ingress barrier. The organic insulating layer has a groove outside the display region. The organic insulating layer extends over the display region and a region outside the groove. The display element is disposed in the display region and includes, in order, a first electrode, an organic layer, and a second electrode. The organic layer includes one or more moisture-reacting layers. The moisture-ingress barrier is disposed in the groove of the organic insulating layer, includes a material identical to the material of the one or more moisture-reacting layers, and has a thickness greater than the thickness of the one or more moisture-reacting layers.

The functional layer has a film thickness of 15 to 35 nm. A surface of the anode on the light-emitting layer side and an interface between the cathode and the light-transmitting conductive layer are spaced from each other by not less than 150 nm.

Abstract: An organic electroluminescent element includes an organic electroluminescent part and a pair of partition walls. The organic electroluminescent part includes an organic material layer, a resonator, and a film-thickness adjustment layer. The film-thickness adjustment layer has a thickness that is adjusted to allow a difference between a height of a pinning position and a height of a middle position of an upper surface of the organic material layer to fall within a predetermined range. The pinning position is a position at which the upper surface of the organic material layer and each of the partition walls are in contact with each other.
