Abstract:
An RF receiver and a method by which the RF receiver removes interference signals are provided. The RF receiver includes a first signal processor which detects an undesired signal from RF signals received through a channel, to convert the phase of the detected signal; and a second signal processor which combines the signal output from the first signal processor with the received RF signals, to detect a desired signal. Therefore, it is possible to remove undesired signals existing on channels in which there is no overlap in frequency between desired signals and undesired signals, and accordingly an RF receiver having enhanced performance and a method by which the RF receiver removes interference signals may be provided.

The present invention is directed to a light pipe having an improved structure of prisms. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a hollow light pipe comprises an inner-surface including a linear array of prisms; and a substantially smooth outer-surface, wherein a pitch of prisms in a first region is wider than a pitch of prisms in a second region. According to another embodiment of the present invention, a hollow light pipe comprises a hollow base pipe; and an insertion inserted into the base pipe and having a structured surface including an array of prisms, wherein a pitch of prisms in a first region is wider than a pitch of prisms in a second region.

Abstract:
A method of a speaking rate conversion in a text-to-speech system is provided. The method includes: a first step of extracting a vocal list from a synthesis DB (database), voicing the extracted vocal list in each speaking style constituted of fast speaking, normal speaking, and slow speaking, and building a probability distribution of a synthesis unit-based duration; a second step of searching for an optimal synthesis unit candidate row using a viterbi search, correspondingly to a requested synthesis, and creating a target duration parameter of a synthesis unit; and a third step of again obtaining an optimal synthesis unit candidate row using the duration parameter of the optimal synthesis unit candidate row, and generating a synthesized sound.
