Abstract: An image display apparatus can include a display configured to display an image; an image receiver configured to receive a broadcast signal; a signal processing device configured to output an image signal to the display based on the broadcast signal; and an interface configured to exchange data with a mobile terminal or a server. Also, the signal processing device is further configured to receive a broadcast image corresponding to a selected thumbnail from the image receiver, receive chatting conversation content corresponding to the broadcast image from the server through the interface, and overlay the chatting conversation content on the broadcast image, and in response to receiving input conversation content based on a signal from a remote controller or the mobile terminal, display the input conversation content.
