    Abstract: A chair includes: a leg body; a backrest supporting body supported by the leg body; and a backrest supporting body supported by the backrest supporting body and configured to support the back of a user. The backrest supporting body has: a backrest which has a flexible upholstering material member that receives the back of the user and enables displacement depending on the back and a pair of vertical frame sections on which the upholstering material member is mounted and which are separated in a width direction in which the vertical frame sections are elastically deformable by a force applied from the upholstering material member; and a backrest rear section supporting member configured to connect the vertical frame sections—in an upward/downward direction.

    Abstract: An outer surface of a crosspiece portion of a leg body in a width direction is formed with a concave stepped portion that is recessed toward the inside of the crosspiece portion in the width direction. The concave stepped portion is formed over the entire length of the crosspiece portion. The concave stepped portion is provided with an attachment seat which an optional member is connected to. The concave stepped portion is blocked by a detachable cover member, so that it is possible to provide a desk device that enables the optional member to be added to the outer surface of the leg body if necessary without causing deterioration in the quality of external appearance.
