The perimeter also has at least one opening disposed into a chamber positioned within same. The opening is configured such that a gas may flow from the chamber through the opening and over the sleep surface. In addition, the pediatric mattress may include a percussion therapy system. The percussion therapy system includes an audio generator and at least one speaker. The speaker is connected to the audio-signal generator and is configured to produce and direct audio signals to the sleep surface.
Abstract:
A device for securing a knot in a tight condition in a cord includes a generally tubular member defining a longitudinal hole therethrough. The tubular member includes a score line for dividing it into two sections by applying a bending or torsional force on the ends thereof. The tubular member further includes a longitudinal slit extending substantially through the thickness thereof. A pre-stretched elastomeric band is disposed around the tubular member.
Abstract:
Plastic, paper, aluminum foil, or aluminum foil laminated with plastic bags are dispensed, one at a time, from a bag dispenser. In a first embodiment, bags are provided in rolls, connected top-to-top and bottom-to-bottom. Each bag is tapered towards its bottom such that its top-to-top connection with the next bag is wider than the bottom-to-bottom connection. Each bottom-to-bottom connection has sealed seams, which ensure that the bags are closed at their bottoms, and a row of closely spaced perforations on a connecting portion between two seams, which allow adjacent bags to be separated by pulling and tearing along the row of perforations. In an alternate embodiment of this invention, a plurality of tapered bags is nested with one bag inside the next adjacent bag. The bags are tapered at both sides such that their bottoms are narrower than their tops. At their tops, they are attached to strips of materials that are in turn attached to each other by conventional means such as staples. Rows of closely spaced perforations ensure that each bag is open when a bag is separated from the strips by pulling and tearing along the row of perforations. In a third embodiment the bags are nested and attached to a perforated central tab that passes through the bottom seam of each bag. The nested arrays of bags may be placed in a funnel-like dispenser that holds the nested bags in an upright position.
Abstract:
A training mannequin for sparring and self-defense training is disclosed which employs a life-size mannequin torso in place of the traditional punching bags. The mannequin torso provides more realistic training and provides anatomically correct references as well as lifelike reaction and feel when struck. The mannequin is made from an outer skin filled with a flexible interior foam. The outer skin is formed from a flexible material which returns to its original shape even after it is deformed by a strong blow. This resilience allows the mannequin to absorb virtually unlimited blows without losing its shape, structure or feel. Further, the three dimensional nature of the mannequin allows training in realistic circumstances and from angles not possible with traditional punching bags.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for playing a casino wagering game using a processor to determine random event outcomes by: the processor recognizing selection of individual player selections of individual sub-outcomes collectively forming a total player selection set; the processor providing a total selection outcome of a final set of symbols randomly selected by the processor from a total symbol set of individual outcomes; the individual total player selection set totaling fewer symbols than the total symbol set of individual outcomes; a player input system enabling player wagers to be selected from among multiple total selection outcomes to be selected by the processor from among multiple available sets of total selection outcomes; the processor providing differing paytables dependent upon numbers of symbols provided by the processor with respect to each total selection outcome provided by the processor from among the multiple available sets of total outcome selections.
Abstract:
A wagering game is played with symbol indicia having an order or rank. A player places a first wager to play in an underlying game. The player receives at least or exactly two indicia which are positioned among three possible orientations by the player. There is one indicia each, in any of three indicia positions defining a player's hand. The player places the two indicia, leaving one indicia position unfilled. A third indicia is provided to the player in the unfilled indicia position. The first wager is resolved at least in part based on whether the third indicia forms a sequence of order or ranks among the three indicia provided to the player. There may be a similar dealer hand against which the player hand is compared. Playing cards are preferred indicia.
Abstract:
A method of playing a wagering game on an electronic gaming system provides: i) an image of a virtual playing card having frames within m columns and n rows wherein each of m and n are at least 3; ii) providing a random distribution of individual numbers within the frames, the individual numbers selected from within a complete defined set of numbers; iii) recognizing a wager; iv) selecting a second set of numbers smaller than the complete defined set; v) identifying on the monitor selected numbers matching individual random numbers within the frames; vi) identifying when consecutive frames have at least p matched individual random numbers within frames in a column, row or diagonal; vii) resolving the at least wager such that a) when matched individual random numbers do or do not form at least p adjacent frames.
Abstract:
A downhole apparatus suitable for downhole application may include a mandrel; a packer element assembly disposed about the mandrel that comprises at least one packer element disposed about the mandrel; and a retaining shoe disposed about the mandrel and adjacent to a first packer element of the packer element assembly. The retaining shoe may be configured such that in an unset position at least a portion of the first packer element covers at least a portion of a retaining shoe distal surface.
