    摘要: The present application discloses systems and methods for automatically adding a unique identifier associated with a cell to a neighbor cell list associated with another cell. In some embodiments, the method includes: selecting a particular mobile terminal from a set of mobile terminals; instructing the particular mobile terminal to obtain and report the unique identifier; receiving from the particular mobile terminal the unique identifier; and adding the unique identifier to the neighbor cell list, wherein the step of selecting the particular mobile terminal from the set of mobile terminals comprises determining which of the mobile terminals in the set appears to have a relatively high probability of obtaining the unique identifier within a certain window of time and selecting that mobile terminal.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the UE (400) is configured to operate in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode having at least one DRX cycle; and is further configured to adapt at least one parameter as a function of a current DRX cycle the UE is using. The UE (400) is further configured to evaluate radio link failure detection based on the parameters. After evaluation, the UE (400) is further configured to evaluate radio link failure detection based on the one or several adapted parameters. After evaluation, the UE (400) is arranged to inform the base station (600) on radio link conditions.

    摘要: User equipment is to be handed over from a source cell to a target cell in a radio communication network. The user equipment is assigned dedicated uplink resources in the source cell, and a handover candidate cell is prepared for receiving the user equipment by obtaining information about the assigned dedicated uplink resources in the source cell. A radio base station for the handover candidate cell is listening for user equipment transmissions and determines, when receiving a user equipment transmission, whether the received user equipment transmission can be detected based on information about the assigned dedicated uplink resources in the source cell in order to assess if the received user equipment transmission is coming from user equipment for which the handover candidate cell has been prepared. The radio base station for the handover candidate cell initiates a handover procedure for the user equipment if it is assessed that the received user equipment transmission is coming from user equipment for which the handover candidate cell has been prepared. In this way, handover can be initiated and completed even if the serving radio base station of the source cell cannot receive a handover-triggering measurement report from the UE.

    摘要: Systems and methods for estimating inter-frequency measurements used for radio network functions are disclosed. The systems and methods described allow systems to evaluate the quality of a second frequency by using offset adjusted measurements on a first frequency. By using the described methods, system capacity is increased by providing a “low cost” measurement mechanism for support of handover that substantially balance the load between two or more frequency bands. By using the proposed method, handover can be performed more frequently and the interference within each frequency band can therefore be kept at a more optimal level.

    摘要: The invention relates to methods and devices for supporting configuration of a measurement gap pattern for a user equipment requiring measurement gaps for performing an inter-frequency measurement. A radio network node receives an indication from the user equipment that the user equipment is going to perform an inter-frequency measurement for positioning, which inter-frequency measurement requires measurement gaps. The radio network node may determine a measurement gap pattern for performing the inter-frequency measurement and may signal, to the user equipment, information to initiate use of the determined measurement gap pattern in the user equipment. Alternatively the user equipment configures the measurement gap pattern itself based on a set of pre-defined rules.
