摘要： A printing system includes a first printing machine that is provided in the form of a newspaper printing machine and which comprises at least two first printing units that are provided in the form of printing towers and with a number of printing machines arranged one above the other for effecting double-sided printing of a substrate in multiple colors. A first folding funnel is arranged in a machine exit of these first printing units. A second printing machine is provided with at least one second printing unit and with a dryer that is situated in the machine exit of the second printing unit. The at least one second printing unit is positioned with respect to its printing location, and when viewed from above, is arranged next to the machine exit of the first printing units provided in the form of printing towers. A web, or a partial web, which has been printed by the second printing unit, and which has passed through the dryer, can be diverted by 90° from a direction of conveyance that is perpendicular to a machine exit and can be guided in a direction of conveyance that is parallel to the machine exit.

摘要： A printing group of a printing press includes at least one forme cylinder that has at least one axially extending opening on the external surface of the cylinder. That at least one axially extending opening forms a channel in the cylinder and in which channel several printing forme end retaining assemblies are provided. These retaining assemblies are provided in the channel on both sides of a center plane which bisects the forme cylinder perpendicularly to its axis of rotation. A first one of these retaining assemblies that adjoins the center plane cooperates with a second retaining assembly, located on the other side of the center plane, to both engage the same printing forme, in a first mode of operation. In a second mode of operation, the first retaining assembly cooperates with a third retaining assembly, that is located further away form the center plane, and on the same side thereof as the first retaining assembly, to engage a second printing forme.

These two pressing elements are separated from each other in a circumferential direction of the cylinder. A portion of each of the two pressing elements can be moved toward or away form the surface of the cylinder independently of each other. The pressing elements are preferably arranged on supports that are connected to each other. Each of the pressing elements is provided with its own independent actuator.

The transfer cylinder cooperates with an impression cylinder to apply ink to a web of material, with the web being guided vertically. The circumference of at least one of the transfer cylinders and the impression cylinder is an integral multiple, greater than one of the circumference of the form cylinder. The transfer cylinder and the form cylinder have respective drive motors that are mechanically independent from the drive of the respective other cylinder.
