摘要： A cartridge case 1 for a magnetic tape cartridge comprises a cartridge case 1 consisting of a lower half 2 and an upper half 3. The lower half 2 is provided with retaining ribs 71 each having a retaining slanted surface 71a such that a plate-like cartridge memory 7 is positioned on the retaining slanted surfaces 71a with its one side 7d lowered and is obliquely supported with respect to a bottom plate 28 of the lower half 2. The upper half 3 is provided with supporting members for supporting various non-resilient constituent parts positioned on the lower half 2 and including the cartridge memory 7. The upper half 2 is provided with a stopper rod 77 such that when the upper half 3 is assembled with the lower half 2, the stopper rod 77 reaches a cartridge memory-rising region before the supporting members contact with the non-resilient constituent parts on the lower half 2.

摘要： The present invention provides an assembling method facilitating building-in work of a door and tensile coil spring in a cartridge case. In an assembling of a magnetic tape cartridge, hold the door and coil spring with a component holding jig, grip a part of the door with a robot hand of an assembling apparatus, engage the other end of the coil spring in a spring engaging portion, elongate the coil spring with moving the spring engaging portion in a closing direction, make a state in which the coil spring can be attached to the case-side spring hooking portion as it is when fitting the door in a closing position of the guide groove, then fit in the door, and attach the other end of the coil spring to the case-side spring hooking portion, thereby being able to simultaneously build the door and coil spring in a lower half.

The groove wall portion impedes rotation of the braking member, and guides the braking member.

摘要： A magnetic tape cartridge is equipped with a cartridge, a single tape reel, a tape leader pin, and a U-shaped clip. The cartridge case is formed by fastening upper and lower cases of synthetic resin together and has a tape leader opening formed in the upper and lower side walls of the upper and lower cases. The single tape reel has magnetic tape wound thereon and is rotatably housed within the cartridge case. The tape leader pin is firmly attached to a leading end of the magnetic tape, and is detachably held in an upright state between the upper and lower cases so that it faces the tape leader opening. The U-shaped clip is attached to walls near the tape leader opening to fasten the upper and lower cases together, whereby the fastening strength of the upper and lower cases is enhanced.

Even for cases in which there is a deviation in the insertion position in which leader pin is inserted by the record and playback apparatus, etc. causing the entry path of the leader pin into the cartridge casing to be off track, etc., it is still possible for the leader pin to be inserted into the cartridge casing. The incline angle, in relation to the insertion direction of the leader pin, at the point at which the flanges of the leader pin are brought into abutment with the guide surface of the latch spring is set within the range of 30°±5°.
