摘要： An apparatus, computer readable medium, and method for redundant data stream control. The computer readable medium may include a first evaluation code segment for determining a first status of a first redundant data stream based at least in part on a first parameter and a predetermined policy, a second evaluation code segment for determining a second status of a second redundant data stream based on a second parameter and the predetermined policy, and an output code segment for transmitting a signal based at least in part on at least one of the first status and the second status. The first parameter is based at least in part on the first redundant data stream and the second parameter is based at least in part on the second redundant data stream. The first status is valid or invalid and the second status is valid or invalid.

摘要： A secure network is disclosed. The secure network includes a residential gateway to communicate with a remote network and a local network. At least one trusted local device is configured to send communications including data packets with authentication information to the residential gateway to request access to resources of the remote network. The residential gateway inhibits a request received from the local network to access resources on the remote network until the residential gateway uses authentication information to authenticate data packets associated with the request as originating from the at least one trusted local device.

摘要： A method includes a first firewall device performing a firewall function on a first redundant input data packet and outputting the first redundant input data packet as a first redundant output data packet according to the firewall function. A second firewall device performs only the the same firewall function on a second redundant input data packet and outputs the second redundant input data packet as a second redundant output data packet according to the firewall function. The redundant output data packets are at least substantially similar when the firewall devices are functioning properly. A controller receives the redundant output data packets and transmits at a given time one of the redundant output data packets to a target. The controller transmits the first redundant output data packet to the target while the second device is failed.

The method may include transcoding of the multimedia content into a format suitable for the second MCDN terminal device.
