摘要: Systems and methods for navigating through activity information using a media guidance application are provided. An Internet appliance is integrated with a plurality of content sources accessible to user equipment. A simultaneous display of a first plurality of media asset listings, corresponding to a first plurality of media assets transmitted by each of the plurality of content sources during a first time interval that includes the present time, and information received from the Internet appliance is generated. In response to a user request to navigate to a second time interval that precedes the present time, a simultaneous display of a second plurality of media asset listings, corresponding to a second plurality of media assets that were transmitted by each of the plurality of content sources during the second time interval, and a timeline that includes indicators representing activity detected by the Internet appliance during the second time interval is generated.

摘要: A method is provided for streaming transcoded HLS video from a video asset to allow a minimum startup delay time. A method includes pre-transcoding a first number of the HLS chunks. Then, once a request is received from a remote HLS client for the HLS video asset, transmitting a number of the pre-transcoded chunks to the remote HLS player. The pre-transcoded chunks are transmitted during a startup period until real-time transcoded chunks can be received and processed by the remote HLS player at a time position to allow seamless transition from the pre-transcoded chunks.

摘要: A video streaming system includes a camera configured to capture a live video and a video streaming device configured to broadcast a wireless network, receive the live video, and transmit a live video feed including the live video over the wireless network. The video streaming system also includes a control system configured to receive a request to connect to the wireless network from a mobile device in range of the wireless network; identify the mobile device and/or a user of the mobile device; upon identifying the mobile device and/or the user, determine whether the mobile device and/or the user is authorized to connect to the wireless network; and upon determining that the mobile device and/or the user is authorized to connect to the wireless network, instruct the video streaming device to connect the mobile device to the wireless network and transmit the live video feed to the mobile device.

摘要: A first computing device is configured to establish a communication path with a second computing device and receive, from the second computing device over the communication path, an indication to begin transmitting an audio tone comprising identifying information for the first computing device, where the audio tone, when detected by the second computing device, causes the second computing device to update a user interface of the second computing device. Based on the received indication, the first computing device begins transmitting the audio tone. The second computing device is configured to detect, via at least one microphone, the audio tone and then, based on the detected audio tone, update the user interface.

摘要: A method of controlling consumer electronics control (CEC) communication between a sink device and a plurality of source devices connected through high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cables may include; generating cable connection information by monitoring whether the HDMI cables are respectively connected to a HDMI port among a plurality of HDMI ports of the sink device, generating CEC error information by monitoring whether a voltage of an internal CEC node is fixed, wherein CEC lines included in connected HDMI cables are commonly connected to the internal CEC node and the connected HDMI cables indicate present connection to the plurality of HDMI ports, and executing a user guide to diagnose a stuck state of the CEC lines of the connected HDMI cables in response to the cable connection information and the CEC error information.

摘要: Disclosed are methods for supplementing the processing capabilities of multimedia devices in a networked environment. A method can include providing a processing offloader module to physically connect to a first multimedia device in the networked environment. The offloader can be internal and/or external to the device. The method can include identifying the offloader, identifying a second multimedia device, and determining that a bandwidth of the second device falls below a threshold bandwidth. Instructions can be forwarded from the second device to the offloader when the bandwidth of the second device exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The offloader is configured to process the instructions and render multimedia information based on the instructions. A first communication can be transmitted to the second multimedia device indicating a request to enable a proxy configured to output received rendered multimedia information and the rendered multimedia information can be forwarded from the offloader to the second device.

摘要: Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

摘要: Systems and methods are described for disambiguating user input based on a physical location of items in a vicinity of a user. The system determines that a query received from a user contains an ambiguity. In response, the system identifies several items in the physical vicinity of the user. Then, the system analyzes the identified plurality of items to determine whether the plurality of items forms a first ensemble of items or a second ensemble of items. If the plurality of items forms a first ensemble of items, the system performs a search using the search query and a first keyword related to the first ensemble of items. If the plurality of items forms a second ensemble of items, the system performs a search using the search query and a second keyword related to the second ensemble of items. The system then outputs results of the performed search.
