摘要： A cable connector assembly which reduces a cross sectional area of an end portion of a cable and which can be conveniently and securely assembled to a connector, comprises a main body, a cable and a clamp device. The main body has a connecting portion receiving a number of terminals for electrically connecting with a mating connector at one end and a receiving space accommodating a housing block. The cable has an electrical portion at an end portion thereof for electrically connecting with the terminals of the connecting portion. The clamp device comprising at least two clamping portions and fixing portions corresponding to the housing block is received in the receiving space and assembled to the housing block. Thus the end portion of the cable is deformed and retained by the clamping portions and secured to the housing block by the fixing portions of the clamp device.

A pair of grounding plates respectively extends perpendicularly from an edge of the first and second cover proximate a receiving space thereof. A plurality of protrusions is formed on the grounding plate for electrically contacting a metal shell of a mating connector and for grounding static electricity accumulated thereon.

摘要： A cable end connector comprises a metal shell and an insulative housing. A pair of locking elements is formed at lateral sides of the housing. A mating slot is formed in the mating side of the housing. A projection extends from the housing into the mating slot. A plurality of receiving slots is formed in the projection of the housing for receiving a plurality of terminals therein. A pair of locking holes is formed at lateral sides of the metal shell for engaging with the corresponding locking elements. A pair of grounding plates is soldered at lateral sides of the metal shell. Each grounding plate has a solder portion and a contacting portion, the solder portion being soldered to the metal shell, the contacting portion providing electrical contact with a metal panel. An opening is formed between the solder portion and the contacting portion for enhancing the resilience of the grounding plate.

摘要： An electrical connector comprises a body, a metal plate and a shield. The body defines a plurality of passageways for retaining terminals therein. The shield encloses the body and the body has an exposed bottom face for mating with a circuit board. The metal plate surrounds the body, and a pair of board locks is formed on opposite lateral ends of the metal plate. Each board lock comprises a base, a pair of folded portions extending from opposite ends of the base, a leg extending from each folded portion, and a barb formed on a free end of each leg. A resilient plate extends from a central portion of the base. A folded tip is formed on a free end of the resilient plate. When the board lock extends through a receiving hole of another circuit board having a different thickness, the electrical connector is properly secured to the circuit board due to the provision of the resilient plate and the barbs.
