Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure discloses a method for reporting channel state information CSI, including: determining, by a user equipment (UE), a number of resources occupied by a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) used when calculating CSI; determining, by the UE, a number of resources used to transmit a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) used when calculating the CSI according to the number of resources occupied by the DMRS; and calculating, by the UE, the CSI according to the number of resources used to transmit the PDSCH determined, and reporting the CSI. Using the present disclosure can guarantee the performance of transmitting PDSCHs in a NR system.
