Abstract: Method and system for pipe conveyed logging (PCL) operations in which the drillpipe conveys a logging tool. The method and system coordinate operation of a wireline winch and drilling rig control systems to synchronize their operation, and/or the method and system attenuate the pull force applied to an upper end of the cable and transmit the attenuated force toward a lower end of the cable to reduce the risks of premature cable release and cable damage.

Abstract: Processing systems and methods for receiving captured data of a data source attached with an expression of a relationship between the data source and a well construction system. The expression of the relationship between the data source and the well construction system is matched with an expression in a relationship descriptor including a description of a well construction system physical layout. The relationship descriptor also includes respective expressions of relationships between data sources and locations, equipment, and/or components of the well construction system. The expression in the relationship descriptor is one of the respective expressions. Secondary information is determined based on the captured data and the matched expression in the relationship descriptor.

Abstract: An elevation measurement system for a drilling rig and method. The method includes obtaining a first measurement of a first position of a tubular handling assembly using a detector, and moving the tubular handling assembly after obtaining the first measurement. The detector is configured to continuously detect a current position of the at least a portion of the tubular handling assembly while moving the tubular handling assembly. The method also includes obtaining a second measurement of a second position of the tubular handling assembly using the detector, and determining a length of a tubular string based partially on a difference between the first and second positions.
