    Abstract: The present invention provides a circuit board-mounted optical interconnection system comprising a mounting bracket for holding a board-based first optical connector ferrule; a ferrule alignment housing for mating the first optical connector ferrule with a second optical connecter ferrule to form a mated ferrule sub-assembly; wherein the mounting bracket comprises a pair of curved portions; the mated ferrule sub-assembly comprises one or more pivoting features for engaging with the curved portions such that the mated ferrule sub-assembly is rotatable with respect to the mounting bracket. The present invention makes mating and un-mating of the connector ferrules easier, particularly in confined working spaces as with racks in telecommunication cabinets.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector.     Abstract: Reversible polarity fiber optic connectors are provided having housings at least partially surrounding first and second optical ferrules with walls above and beneath the ferrules. Positioning removable elements such as latches, removable arms, or push-pull tabs on the first wall above the ferrules yields fiber optic connectors with a first polarity type, and positioning the removable elements on the second wall beneath the ferrules yields fiber optic connectors with a second, opposite polarity type. Various engagement mechanisms are provided on either the connector housing walls or on the removable elements, or both, to assist in affixing the removable element to the connector housing.

    Abstract: Lockable connection assemblies including lockable connection components are described. A lockable connection assembly may include an assembly for connecting components in an electrical or communication system, such as a fiber optic communication network. The lockable connection assemblies may include a connector (for example, a plug) and an adapter configured to be connected together, for example, using a bayonet-type connection. The components of the lockable connection assemblies may include elements configured to prevent the connector from unintentionally disconnecting from the adapter. For instance, the connector may include a locking nut configured to engage and lock a coupling nut connected to the adapter from rotating and disconnecting from the adapter.
