    摘要: The present invention aims to provide an arthropod controlling agent which rapidly exerts its efficacy against arthropods such as mosquitoes by simple installation in a place where arthropods inhabit and/or invade at room temperature. The arthropod controlling agent comprises an ester compound represented by the following formula (1): wherein R1 denotes a hydrogen atom or methyl, R2 denotes methyl or CH═CR21R22 wherein R21 and R22 independently denote a hydrogen atom or methyl, and R3 denotes a hydrogen atom, methyl or methoxymethyl, and said ester compound is supported on a polyolefin type resin, wherein the polyolefin type resin contains carboxylic acid ester monomer units in an amount of 1 to 10% by weight based on the entire arthropod controlling agent.

    摘要: An input unit receives the input a fingerprint image of a user. A classification unit classifies the fingerprint image inputted by the input unit into any of a plurality of groups defined on the basis of individual differences of the fingerprint. Based on the classification result of fingerprint width, namely, the type of a group determined by the classification unit, a switching control unit selects either a normal fingerprint width feature extraction processing unit or a narrow fingerprint width feature extraction processing unit provided in a feature extraction unit. A feature extraction unit processes the fingerprint image, using processing methods defined respectively for the plurality of groups. A verification data preparation unit prepares fingerprint verification data. A fingerprint identification unit checks the fingerprint verification data prepared by an identification data preparation unit against fingerprint identification data enrolled in a biological information storage unit.

    摘要: A keyboard assembly for an electronic musical instrument comprises at least a plurality of keys, a key support member and a plurality of key-return springs. The key support member rotatably supports the keys; and the key-return spring is provided between the key and key support member so as to press up the key to a normal position. Mechanical parameters which affect a key scaling to key-touch responses of the keys are sizes, shapes and locations of parts of the keyboard assembly, which are set by analyzing motions of an action mechanism of an acoustic piano. For example, weight of the key is adjusted using a deadweight member so as to provide a specific key-touch response for the key. An amount of elastic resilience, made by the key-return spring, is adjusted by changing at least one location, at which one end of the key-return spring is terminated, so as to provide a specific key-touch response for the key. Viscous resistance, made by viscous material, such as grease, which is provided between a selected portion of the key and some member, such as a key guide and a support-point member, is adjusted by changing shape and/or size of that member, so as to provide a specific key-touch response for the key. The key scaling is performed by changing the key-touch response with respect to each of the keys; or the key scaling is performed by changing the key-touch response with respect to a selected division of the keyboard.

    摘要: An optical matrix switch with 2.sup.i+1 input ports (where i is a natural number) and 2.sup.i+1 output ports, that performs a matrix selection on optical input signals received at the input ports and outputs them as optical output signals at the output ports, comprises: an i-stage input branching tree consisting of 1.times.2 branching means connected in a tree configuration, for dividing the optical input signals into 2.sup.(2i+1) branched signals; a double tree including 2.sup.2i 2.times.2 optical switches connected in series to the input branching tree so that each 2.times.2 optical switch receives two branched signals from different input ports and generates switch output signals at a selected one of its two outputs; and an i-stage output merging tree consisting of 2.times.1 merging means connected in a tree configuration for receiving the switch output signals from the 2.times.2 optical switches and generating optical output signals at the 2.sup.i+1 output ports. Dummy points of intersection are provided to equalize the number of points of intersection on any light propagation path from an input port to an output port.
