摘要： A toner for developing electrostatic images is constituted by toner particles comprising a binder resin and a colorant. The toner is characterized by having (i) a particle size distribution including a weight-average particle size D.sub.4 of X .mu.m and Y% by number of toner particles having a particle size of at most 3.17 .mu.m satisfying the following conditions (1) and (2): -5X+35.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.-25X+180 (1) 3.5.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.6.5 (2), (ii) at least one heat absorption peak in a temperature region of at most 110.degree. C. as measured by differential thermal analysis, and (iii) a tap void of 0.45-0.70. The toner is effective for obviating the sleeve ghost phenomenon.

摘要： A binder resin comprises a vinyl copolymer, a mixture of vinyl copolymers, or a mixture of a vinyl copolymer and a vinyl polymer. A resin component with a molecular weight of not more than 10,000 is contained in an amount of from 5 to 50% by weight based on the whole resin. The vinyl copolymer or the mixture of vinyl copolymers has an acid anhydride group and a carboxyl group.

摘要： A positively chargeable toner for developing electrostatic images in electrophotography, electrostatic recording, electrostatic printing, etc. The toner contains a binder resin, a colorant or magnetic material, and a diorganotin borate. Because of the diorganotin borate contained, the toner has a uniform and stable triboelectric chargeability. The improved properties of the toner are enhanced when it is combined with positively chargeable fine silica powder.
