    摘要: A color toner has (i) color toner particles containing at least a binder resin and a colorant and (ii) an external additive. The color toner has a weight-average particle diameter of 5 to 8 .mu.m and a number-average particle diameter of 4.5 to 7.5 .mu.m, and contains 5 to 40% by number of particles having a particle diameter of 4 .mu.m or less in the number distribution of the color toner and 7% by volume or less of particles having a particle diameter of 10.08 .mu.m or more in the volume distribution of the color toner. The inorganic powder selected from the group consisting of a strontium titanate powder, a cerium oxide powder and a calcium titanate powder, and a hydrophobic fine alumina powder are externally added to the color toner particles as the external additives, the inorganic powder has a longitudinal average particle diameter of 0.2 to 2 .mu.m, and the hydrophobic fine alumina powder has a longitudinal average particle diameter of 0.005 to 0.1 .mu.m. The binder resin is a polyester resin crosslinked by a crosslinking agent. The color toner particles contain 0 to 20 mg/lg of a chloroform insoluble matter. The color toner has a storage modulus (G'.sub.130) of 2.times.10.sup.3 to 2.times.10.sup.4 [dyn/cm.sup.2 ] at a temperature of 130.degree. C. and a storage modulus (G'.sub.170) of 5.times.10.sup.3 to 5.times.10.sup.4 [dyn/cm.sup.2 ] at a temperature of 170.degree. C., and a value of G'.sub.170 /G'.sub.130 is in the range of 0.25 to 10.

    摘要: A yellow toner for developing an electrostatic image contains yellow color toner particles having at least a binder resin and a yellow colorant, and an external additive. The binder resin has a polyester resin having an acid value of from 2 mg KOH/g to 25 mg KOH/g and a glass transition temperature of from 52.degree. C. to 65.degree. C. The yellow colorant is a compound represented by the following Formula (I): ##STR1## The external additive is composed of a fine titanium oxide powder or fine aluminum oxide powder subjected to hydrophobic treatment. The powder has an average primary particle diameter of from 0.01 .mu.m to 2 .mu.m. The yellow toner has a weight average particle diameter of from 3.0 .mu.m to 15.0 .mu.m.

    摘要: An image forming method includes the steps of:(1) forming a first unfixed image of color toner on one side of a transfer material, wherein the color toner has a weight average particle size of 3 to 7 .mu.m and includes color toner particles having a particle size of 4 .mu.m or less in a range of 10 to 70 by number, color toner particles having a particle size of 5.04 .mu.m or less in a range of 40% by number or more, color toner particles having a particle size of 8 .mu.m or more in a range of 2 to 20% by volume, and color toner particles having a particle size of 10.08 .mu.m or more in a range of 6% by volume or less; (2) heating and melting the color toner of the first unfixed image by heating, pressing and fixing means which includes a rotation body for fixing having an elastic layer to fix the first unfixed image to the one side of the transfer material; (3) forming a second unfixed image of color toner on the other side of the transfer material, wherein the color toner has a weight average particle size of 3 to 7 .mu.m and includes color toner particles having a particle size of 4 .mu.m or less in a range of 10 to 70% by number, color toner particles having a particle size of 5.04 .mu.m or less in a range of 40% by number or more, color toner particles having a particle size of 8 .mu.m or more in a range of 2 to 20% by volume, and color toner particles having a particle size of 10.08 .mu.m or more in a range of 6% by volume or less; and (4) heating and melting a color toner of the second fixed image by the heating, pressing and fixing means to fix the second unfixed image to the other side of the transfer material, whereby color images are formed on both sides of the transfer material.
