The color filter substrate of the present invention is a color filter substrate including a substrate, an insulating film having transparency, a bank, and a colored layer, the insulating film being arranged on the substrate, the bank and the colored layer being arranged on the insulating film, the colored layer being surrounded by the bank, wherein a thickness of the insulating film in a region overlapping with the center of the colored layer is smaller than a thickness of the insulating film in a region overlapping with an edge of the colored part.

The present invention is a liquid crystal display device including the first substrate, the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, the first substrate having a structure in which a lower conductive part, a color filter layer, an upper conductive part are stacked in this order on an insulating substrate, wherein the color filter layer includes a colored part and a partition for partitioning the colored part, the partition is formed in such a way that a plurality of openings and a coupling opening are formed, the colored part being arranged in the plurality of openings, the coupling opening linearly coupling the plurality of openings with each other, and the upper conductive part is connected to the lower conductive part through a contact hole, the contact hole being formed in a region overlapping with the coupling opening.

The subpixel electrodes have a recess recessed toward the insulating layer. The subpixel electrodes and a drain line are connected at the recess. Part of the common electrode lying above a whole area of the pixel electrodes is substantially flat.

摘要： A liquid crystal display panel displays an image on a curved display surface, in which light leakage through a space between pixel electrodes is reliably prevented. The liquid crystal display panel includes an active matrix substrate having the pixel electrodes, an opposed substrate having a common electrode arranged to generate a potential difference between the common electrode and each pixel electrode, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the substrates and arranged to control a light transmission state in accordance with the potential difference, and a black matrix arranged to prevent light leakage through a space between the pixel electrodes. The black matrix is provided on a liquid crystal layer side on the active matrix substrate.
