摘要： A gas turbine engine has a fan, a compressor section, a combustor, and a turbine section. The fan delivers a portion of air into the compressor, and into a duct, as bypass air. A bleed air system bleeds a quantity of air from the compressor into a chamber at least at low power conditions of the engine. The bleed air system has an opening which may be selectively closed to block bleed air, or opened to allow bleed flow from the compressor into the chamber. A heat exchanger is positioned such that a first surface of the heat exchanger is contacted by bypass air in the duct, and a second surface of the heat exchanger is contacted by bleed air when the bleed air system directs air from the compressor into the chamber.

摘要： A thermal management system for a gas turbine engine includes a first heat exchanger that provides a first conditioned fluid, a second heat exchanger in series flow communication with the first heat exchanger and that exchanges heat with the first conditioned fluid to provide a second conditioned fluid, and a third heat exchanger in parallel flow communication with the second heat exchanger and that selectively exchanges heat with the first conditioned fluid to provide a third conditioned fluid. The second conditioned fluid and the third conditioned fluid combine to provide a mixed conditioned fluid. A first portion of the mixed conditioned fluid including a first temperature is communicated to a first engine system. A second portion of the mixed conditioned fluid including a second temperature is communicated to a second engine system. The second temperature includes a greater temperature than the first temperature.

摘要： A method and system for managing stored data on a computer network organizes data into logical volumes, and each logical volume has a friendly name associated with it. A domain controller keeps track of the friendly names of the logical volumes and associates those friendly names with the actual physical paths of the logical volumes. When a client computer on the network wishes to access a logical volume, it sends a look-up request having the friendly name to the domain controller. The domain controller may fulfill the request by sending the path of the logical volume to the client computer.

A management controller system is used to copy a system image from a library of system images to a target partition of the computer to be repurposed. The system image may include a configured copy of an operating system and an application program. The system image may also include logic for generating and assigning a unique security identifier to the computer. The invention includes a managed node service for monitoring the status of the computer and for performing some of the necessary steps in purposing the computer. Additionally, the invention includes facilities for loading a default operating system on the computer when the computer is first connected to a network.
