    摘要: In an optical network design apparatus, a constraint setter sets a first constraint that one of alternative values given beforehand is selected as the dispersion compensation amount of each node, sets a first margin value that assumes a nonnegative value, sets a second constraint that the first margin value is equal to or greater than the difference between the residual dispersion and the lower bound of an allowable range, sets a second margin value that assumes a nonnegative value, and sets a third constraint that the second margin value is equal to or greater than the difference between the upper bound of the allowable range and the residual dispersion. A calculation controller generates an objective function including the first, second and third constraints and including a summation of the first and second margin values for all paths, and derives a solution that minimizes the objective function.

    摘要: An optical transmission system, where in an optical transmitter a detection bit having a specific pattern set according to the number of bits to be transmitted within one symbol time, is imparted with respect to a transmission signal in which transmission information has been encoded according to a preset format, and an optical signal generated by modulating light according to the transmission signal is transmitted to a transmission line. In an optical receiver, logic inversion or bit swap of received data is detected and compensated by using the detection bit included in the received signal, a decoding process of the compensated received signal is executed. As a result, when an optical signal capable of transmitting multi-bit information within one symbol time is transferred, it is possible to realize excellent transmission characteristics, by reliably compensating an error in received data caused by the modulation format or the multiplex system of the optical signal.

    摘要: The objective of the present invention is to realize a chromatic dispersion compensation method which does not depend on a wavelength path in a photonic network to which a HUB node is applied and its monitoring control. In order to achieve this purpose, the present invention controls a plurality of variable chromatic dispersion compensators arbitrarily disposed in the photonic network based on the measured results of a plurality of chromatic dispersion monitors arbitrarily disposed in the photonic network and wavelength path information kept by the network management system which manages the entire photonic network. Then, dispersion slope compensators provided one for each of second dispersion compensation segments, each of which includes a predetermined number of the first dispersion compensation segments, are set to have a negative dispersion slope such that residual dispersion slopes in each of the second dispersion compensation segments becomes zero.
