    摘要: A connector capable of facilitating the insertion of a connected object, and obtaining a sufficient contact force. Contacts are held by a housing including a receiving space into which is inserted FPC. An actuator is mounted in the housing in a manner pivotally movable between open position for inserting FPC into the space, and closed position for holding FPC therein. The contacts have respective seesaw-type beams having one ends thereof formed with portions for contact with FPC, and the other ends thereof formed with power point portions for receiving the turning force of the actuator. The actuator has pressing portions for pushing downward the power point portions when open, to thereby lift them to move the contact portions out of the space, and cam portions for pushing upward the same when closed, to thereby push them downward to cause the contact portions to enter the space.

    摘要: A connector for switching between the states of the connection and non-connection to a mating connector by a cam mechanism (6) movably installed in insulators (2, 3), wherein the cam mechanism comprises a first cam (6a) and a second cam (6b). The first cam is rotatable about an axis, slidable between first and second positions in a direction parallel with the axis, and energized toward the first position by an elastic member (8). The second cam is rotated in conjunction with the first cam to provide either of the connected state and non-connected state according to a rotating angle. The first cam comprises a locked part (6a2) engaged with the lock part (3b3) of the insulator in the rotating direction thereof when positioned at the first position and disengaged from the lock part when positioned at the second position.

    摘要: A connector apparatus includes a first and a second connector connected and disconnected to each other with relative movement in a fitting direction and a separating direction, respectively. In the first connector, a lever member is coupled to a base member and a housing which are relatively movable in the fitting and separating direction. The lever member includes an axis portion rotatably supported by the base member, a first cam portion spaced from the axis portion, and a second cam portion formed at a rotating end. The housing has a first cam-operated portion cooperated with the first cam portion to rotate the lever member following the movement thereof. The second connector has a second cam-operated portion engaged with and separated from the second cam portion following the rotation of the lever member.

    摘要: A connector engaging/disengaging mechanism comprises a frame member (3) and connector carriers (7) for engaging and disengaging first connector (40) mounted on a printed circuit board (5) fixed onto the frame (3) and second connectors (30) held on said connector carriers (7). The frame member is provided with guide grooves (11) in which the connector carriers (7) are received to be slidable in an engaging direction (A) and a disengaging direction (B). Each of the connector carriers (7) has connector holding portions for holding the second connectors and an operating portion (15) for moving the connector carrier to engage and disengage the second connectors (30) to and from the first connector (40). When the operating portion (15) is manually operated to move the connector carrier in the engaging direction, the second connectors (30) are connected with the first connectors (40). When the connector carrier is moved in the disengaging direction, the second connectors (30) are disconnected from the first connectors (40).

    摘要: A card connector which permits insertion of a card from a side of an insulator thereof is provided. A protruded portion is formed on the bottom of a rear end of a slider movably accommodated with a hollow insulator. When the slider is moved in the direction of insertion of a card (miniature card) to bring a recessed terminal array portion of the card to a position exactly above a protruded terminal array portion of a circuit board, the protruded portion is caused to drop into a recess formed in a bottom wall of the hollow insulator to thereby incline the slider with respect to the direction of insertion of the card to fit the recessed terminal array portion of the miniature card on the protruded terminal array portion of the circuit board. The slider is urged against the bottom wall of the hollow insulator by a spring, and urged toward an insertion opening of the hollow insulator by another spring. An ejector button is arranged in the hollow insulator for returning the card to a level position.

    摘要: An electrical connector for electrically connecting a printed circuit board (PCB) to an electrical device, comprising a lower insulator mounted on the electrical device and an upper insulator relatively movable to the lower insulator. The upper insulator has a groove for receiving a board edge of PCB and a flexible printed circuit (FPC) having an end adjacent to the groove and a elastic urging plate. The FPC extends through the lower insulator and connect ed to the electrical device. The elastic urging member is bent into a "V" shape and is brought into contact with an inclined surface formed on the lower insulator when the upper insulator is moved towards the lower insulator. Thus, the bent portion of the urging member pushes the end of FPC into the groove to establish contact connection of conductors of the FPC with pads on the PCB. Thus, connection and disconnection of PCB with the edge connector can be made without insertion and removal force against the contact force between the pads and the FPC.

The first connector member comprises a first housing, a pair of urging plates, a slider, and a pair of flexible contact sheets. The first housing comprises a support portion having a curved surface for supporting, when the slider slides in the first housing towards the second connector member, an outer surface of the intermediate portion so that the intermediate portion forms a large arc. The urging plate has a pressing portion for pressing an inner surface of the intermediate portion to make the intermediate portion form the large arc in cooperation with the support portion when the urging plate is elastically deflected by the cam portion. The slider has a shoulder portion with a curved surface for supporting the inner surface of the intermediate portion to maintain the large arc formed by the intermediate portion when the slider is located farthest from the first housing.

The engaging projection is for making a predetermined engagement with the recessed portion in the predetermined direction and is disengaged from the recessed portion only with bending of the flexible arm. The movable member automatically inhibits the flexible arm from bending thereof after the predetermined engagement is obtained. It is preferable that the pin connector is automatically disconnected from the socket connector when the predetermined engagement is not obtained in spite of the predetermined operation.
