    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein include receiving, at a network device, a message including an identifier associated with a subscriber and an identifier associated with a rating group associated with one or more data flows and determining a data quota and one or more usage monitoring thresholds associated with the subscriber. The data quota indicates a first amount of data associated with the rating group that the subscriber is authorized to use during a time period and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds indicate one or more second amounts of data associated with the rating group and one or more service flows that the subscriber is authorized to use during the time period. The network device transmits the data quota and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds, receives data usage information, and processes the data usage information.

    Abstract: Systems and methods allow a mobile carrier to inform a content provider of data flow restrictions associated with a subscriber's account so that the carrier and the content provider can cooperate to limit data flows without resorting to the inefficiencies of throttling by the carrier. A network device for the carrier network sends, to a third-party content platform, a client message including a first dedicated subscription parameter extension. The first extension indicates one or more subscription parameters for a data flow between user equipment and the third-party content platform. The network device receives, from the third-party content platform, a server message including a second dedicated subscription parameter extension. The second extension confirms the third-party content platform will abide by the subscription parameters. The network device generates, based on the subscription parameters, a policy enforcement rule for the data flow that relies on cooperation of the third-party content platform.

    Abstract: A system described herein may provide an interface between a Session Management Function (“SMF”) and a charging system in a wireless telecommunications system. The charging system may generate triggers which cause the SMF to monitor traffic associated with user equipment (“UE”) and alert the charging system when certain trigger conditions have been satisfied. The triggers may be modified during a communication session between the UE and the wireless telecommunications system. The triggers may be configured on a per-subscriber or a per-price plan level basis. The SMF may also cache a number of satisfied trigger conditions before notifying the charging system, which may result in an efficient use of networking and/or processing resources. The unification of “offline” and “online” charging events, by virtue of the interface, may also result in an efficient use of networking and/or processing resources.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for an enhanced online charging system service are described. A first signaling message is received from an originating mobile station for transmission over a network to a destination mobile station, wherein the first signaling message includes a voice message or a data message. A request from a mobile switching center (MSC), Short Message Service Center (SMSC) or Telephony Application Server (TAS) is provided to an online charging system (OCS) to determine an account usage balance associated with the mobile station. When the OCS determines the account is associated with valid monthly prepaid wireless subscription plan, a first response message is received at the MSC, SMC or TAS. The first response message indicates to the MSC, SMC or TAS to not send, for a predetermined time period, further requests to the OCS to determine an account usage balance associated with the mobile station.

    Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for automated recovery to re-provision a subscriber of a communication network are provided. A communication session establishment request for a user equipment of a subscriber to utilize a communication network may be received. Subscriber location information, session management subscription data, and policy data associated with the subscriber may be retrieved. A subscriber not found response may be received from a charging component as a response to a charging subscriber request for the charging component to track network and service utilization by the user equipment due to a prior failure to register the subscriber with the charging component.
