Abstract: A system and method of identifying patterns on a resource grid, corresponding to resources that are allocated for a plurality of reference signals according to a set of pattern-based parameters. The system and method include identifying a set of resource-location-based parameters to define respective locations of a plurality of regions relative to each other on the resource grid, each region including a respective subset of the patterns.
