摘要： A holder for a frozen confection, such as an ice cream stick, or the like, which serves to hold the frozen confection in an upright position. The holder includes a trough-like upper dish which is slotted to maintain the stick of the frozen confection in an upright position, and which is shaped to catch any drips from the frozen confection as it melts. The dish fits into the open end of a cylindrical base, and it is apertured so that the collected drips from the frozen confection flow into a reservoir which is formed in the upper end of the base. The drips are accumulated in the reservoir to produce a liquid. An upwardly inclined tubular member is fitted into the side of the base and extends into the reservoir to form a drinking straw. An intermediate circular handle is formed in the tubular member.

摘要： A device for mounting thereon a consumable confection. The invention is a combination of a mouth and lip conforming confection that is mounted on a drip-catching, stylistically shaped, biodegradable handle that can be grasped comfortably and securely by a toddler. The drip catch device may be either of a consumable composition and secured to the handle by a nontoxic, consumable musilage, or it may be formed integrally with the handle and be of a nontoxic, disposable, biodegradable composition. The main objective of the invention is to provide a confection holder, whether for frozen product or other solid or semi-solid product, that may be securely grasped by a toddler and which has the shape most comfortably and easily received into the toddler's mouth. The base handle is biodegradable and is disposable; it provides an aseptic means for the toddler to handle the confection during its consumption.

A plurality of Y-shaped pleats are provided in lower portions of the side walls at circumferentially spaced intervals corresponding to the juncture of the edges defining the polygonal base to provide a smooth transition of the side walls from an angular cross-section at the base to a rimmed circular cross-section at the open end of the carton. A rolled rim extends outwardly from the cylindrical side walls to assure tight frictional engagement with a removable lid while also facilitating lid removal.
