摘要： A container has a base panel of generally rectangular shape bounded by four edges. Two generally rectangular, opposed side panels are connected to the base. Each side panel is connected at one of its edges to one of two opposed edges of the base panel and projects upward therefrom. Two generally rectangular, opposed end panels are connected to the remaining opposed edges of the base panel and project upward therefrom. Four folded gussets are connected between the adjacent side panels and end panels, one at each of the corners of the base panel. A generally rectangular top panel lies substantially parallel to the base panel and has each of two of its opposed edges connected to one edge of each of the side panels. Each of the two remaining edges of the top panel forms one outer layer of a pair of substantially sealed, gathered end closures of the container. The other outer layer of each end closure is formed with a lip flap of one of the end panels, with at least one thickness of each gusset being sandwiched between the top panel and the end panel lip flap in each corner of each end closure.

摘要： A blank for being folded into a food container has one group of fold lines along which the blank is folded to form an elongate, tubular, rectangularly shaped food container. The blank is provided with a second set of closely spaced fold lines which extend transversely to the length of the tubular food container. There is a third fold line between each pair of second fold lines. The second and third sets of fold lines are formed so that pressing the food container from opposite longitudinal ends causes sections of the blank disposed between the second fold lines to fold inwardly at the third fold lines, to define and form a plurality of food compartments in the food container. A set of slits is formed in the blank at the locations of the corners of the compartment forming indentations. The slits permit the indented walls to pass through one another in an overlapping manner and in a manner which seals the corners against leakage of food.

The carton blank includes front, bottom rear, and cover panels. A closure flap is hingedly connected to a top edge of the cover panel. The closure flap includes a tear strip for enabling a consumer to readily gain access to the contents of the carton. An end flap extends from each edge of the cover, rear, bottom and front panels. A cover or glue tab extends from each edge of the closure flap. A membrane extends from each of the front panel end flaps and the front panel for forming a substantially continuous lip about a potion of the outer periphery of the carton. The front panel membrane includes notches or recess at each end for receiving the corresponding ends of the front panel end flap membranes.

摘要： The present invention pertains to a carton and a blank and a method for forming the carton for packaging ice cream or the like. The carton blank comprises front, bottom, rear and cover panels. A closure flap is hingedly connected to a top edge of the cover panel that opposes the rear panel. An end flap extends from each end edge of the cover panel, rear panel, bottom panel and front panel. A single tear strip is formed in the closure flap. Also, a single tear strip is formed in the end flap extending from the front panel. Upon removal of the tear strips, the carton can completely unfold and the contents therein can be readily accessed in brick form from all sides.
