A decorative headgear simulating the appearance of a racing helmet is disclosed. It is in the form of a sheet of thin flexible material. The sheet is shaped and configured with a back panel (BP), a right panel (RP), a left panel (LP), a top panel (TP), a front panel (FP), and a chin cover (CC), all of which are adapted for inter-connection to form the helmet. The sheet has several pre-made lines in the sheet forming in whole or in part the headgear removable from the sheet, and wherein the sheet of thin flexible material has several pre-made fold lines in the sheet, said fold lines oriented to form said sheet into a container to hold other articles.

A deployable umbrella hood garment that includes a waterproof umbrella hood moveable between a folded position, furled within a pack member dorsally dispositional upon said garment, and a deployed position, extended to encapsulate the head of a user and securable in said deployed position by means of a support member disposed interior to the hood, whereby automated and expedient deployment of said umbrella hood is effective between said stowed and deployed positions to prevent contact of rainfall with a user's head.

A collapsible drawstring hat including a head engaging portion and a brim extending outwardly from the head engaging portion. A band is located about a periphery of the hat. The band defines a closed channel. A drawstring is located within the closed channel, opposed ends of the drawstring extending outwardly from the band, and is slidably received within the closed channel. The head engaging portion, the brim and the band are secured together to form a main hem line. Upon pulling the opposed end of the drawstring, at least a portion of the drawstring engages at least a portion of the main hem line which, in turn, collapses the brim.

A hood (10), for providing protection to a wearer's head, comprises a flexible skin (12) attached to a foldable frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52, 64) which is unfoldable to a first position where the flexible skin (12) surrounds the head of the wearer but is spaced therefrom to avoid contact with makeup, dressed hair, medical appliances and the like. The foldable frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52, 64) is foldable to a second position where the foldable frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52, 64) and the flexible skin (12) are disposed against the back of the wearer. When in the second position, the foldable frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52, 64) can be further folded to a stable reversible flexed position and stored with an zip pocket or pouch (58) with the flexible skin (12). The frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52, 64) can be permanently or removably attached to a garment (24). The frame (14, 16, 18, 44, 50, 52) can be pivoted from position to position on a hinge (20) on either side of the collar of a garment. The flexible skin (12) can be replaceable.

A hat assembly including a hat that is selectively disposed in either a collapsed position or an expanded position is shown. The hat comprises a head engaging portion including a side wall, a crown and a brim. The brim has a substantially annular configuration at least partially defined by a central opening and an outer periphery having a continuous, substantially circular configuration. The side wall have an inner end being of substantially equal dimension as a circumference of the central opening and the inner end is secured continuously to the circumference along mutual lengths thereof. Breathing holes may be formed in the side walls to prevent sweating or perspiration on the head of a wearer. The hat has an expanded position and a collapsed position wherein the crown is structured to be folded into and out of the interior of the hat. A method of selectively disposing a hat in a hat assembly in either a collapsed position or an expanded position is also shown.
