摘要: A wall-climbing robot or mobility platform able to ascend and descend various horizontal and vertical surfaces having a chassis, a rotor rotatable with respect to the chassis, one or more prominences on the rotor, and means for adhering to a surface attached to the prominences. The robot is able to make a transition from horizontal travel to vertical travel. In certain embodiments, the means for adhering to a wall is a pressure sensitive adhesive. In addition, multiple rotor configurations and radio-control are used for remote operation.

摘要: A climbing toy includes an upper line, a lower line and an upper reel mechanism from which the upper line depends and which selectively winds in the upper line. An action figure is connected to a lower end of the upper line. A lower reel mechanism is disposed in the action figure, and the lower line depends from the lower reel mechanism, which is biased to reel in the lower line. A fixing mechanism holds a lower end of the lower line. A switch is operably connected to the upper reel mechanism and is switchable between (i) an active state, in which the upper reel mechanism is activated to wind in the upper line, and (ii) an inactive state, in which the upper reel mechanism is not activated to wind in the upper line and allows the upper line to be unwound therefrom. In the active state, the action figure is pulled toward the upper reel and the lower line is unwound from the lower reel mechanism. In the inactive state, the lower reel mechanism winds the lower line into the action figure as the action figure moves toward the fixing mechanism. A reciprocating mechanism is designed to translate rotation of the lower reel mechanism into reciprocation of at least one pivotably-mounted appendage only when the lower rope is unwound therefrom.

摘要: This invention is a climbing toy which features simple structure, life-like action and stronger attraction. Orbiting friction wheels hold clothing or other material, and the toy climbs up in the direction of moving of these wheels. A balancing is achieved with a lever which moves a convex pad on each of the hands and feet for climbing. A driving mechanism with an interior mercury switch controls the action of climbing depending upon the attitude with the aid of motion of the body.

摘要: A cord-climbing simulated creature has a body comprised of a bottom section and a top section with apertures on each side through which extend legs from a common web member disposed on each side. On the outer surface of the top section of the creature's body is an upstanding post. A winch assembly in the body includes a housing and a winch which has a pair of axially spaced winch sections of different diameter. An elongated flexible string member extends about the smaller diameter winch section and out the front end of the simulated creature and has its outer end attached to a hook element. The opposite end of the string-like member extends about the larger diameter winch section and out through the rear of the creature's body and its outer end is secured to a spool which is adapted to coil the string-like member thereabout and to seat on the post formed on the body member.
