A portable, scalably adjustable cargo securement apparatus is provided which includes laterally extensible rail members, longitudinally extensible rail members, and elongated stabilizer arbors having an elongated, tubular configuration generally circular in cross-section which interconnect via a plurality of impingement locking brackets so as to form a generally square-shaped framework for confining cargo within its boundaries. The impingement locking brackets function to allow for selective, lateral and longitudinal slidable engagement by laterally extensible rail members and longitudinally extensible rail members. The cargo securement apparatus is adapted to be utilized in a cargo area of sport utility vehicles. A plurality of feet function to bear against a cargo floor, thereby according balanced stability to the cargo securement apparatus. A threaded adjustment stud is threadedly received within the laterally extensible rail member and the longitudinally extensible rail member in order to facilitate congruous leveling.

An easy access device to assist in loading and unloading cargo from the bed of a pick-up truck. The device includes two elongate side pieces, a head cross piece, and a lower adjustable cross piece. The device makes it unnecessary to get into and out of the bed of a pick-up truck to load or remove cargo. The device makes it easier to reach the cargo from the rear of the truck. The device has retractable handles to help move the cargo. Even if a bed cover is present, cargo is simply moved by the device into position to be loaded or unloaded. The device also divides the truck bed into compartments to allow orderly arrangement of cargo of various sizes.

A mounting includes hinge sets formed from two hinge leafs, each hinge leaf being used to retain one of the alternate ends of the torsion rod pin extending through aligned pivot portions on each pin leaf. Preferably, each hinge set is integrally formed with the torsion pin by retainers holding ends of the torsion pin with respect to each of the leafs. In the preferred embodiment, a return bent end of the torsion pin is received in an extended support member while the other end is retained in a returned bent portion of the second leaf, each end extending in a radial direction aligned at an angle to the direction of the other end.

It is comprised of a frame 20, internal support bars 22, pressure point plate 24, extension tubing 24, attached latching 30 pin 28, and load-bar bracing system (not shown). The pallet stabilizer prevents freight from falling laterally by extending into the pocket of space and across to the opposing wall. The frame rest against the freight and inserts into a load-bar system that telescopically extends and is held in place by tension. The pallet stabilizer is easy to use, reusable, no tools are needed and it can be disassembled when not in use.

The rails are mounted on rods which are mounted for vertical movement. In the collapsed position, the rods are nested between the outer and inner walls of the truck bed. Similar structure is provided for the tailgate. The rods are provided with vertically spaced apertures so that the cargo may be safely tied down. A wall may be attached to each rail so that the truck bed will be laterally enclosed when the rails are in an extended position. Various nursery items are packed in the storage compartment between the first panel and the second panel. A gate is positioned in front of the packed nursery items between the first and second panels. The second ends of the first and second panels are secured together in a tensile state such that the gate and the nursery items are securely held in place.

A pick-up truck cargo bed partitioning system that is indexed to the wheel wells of a pick-up truck includes a planar base configured to lay flat on a floor of a pick-up truck cargo bed generally between the wheel wells of the pick-up truck, and at least one partitioning panel hingedly connected to the base. The partitioning panel is moveable with respect to the base between a first position wherein the partitioning panel is flat on the floor of the pick-up truck cargo bed and a second position wherein the partitioning panel is oriented in an upright position with respect to the floor of the pick-up truck cargo bed to divide the pick-up truck cargo bed into a plurality of compartments. The partitioning system can be easily installed by simply dropping it into the pick-up truck cargo bed with the base portion positioned between the wheel wells, and with the partitioning panel or panels positioned forwardly and/or rearwardly of the wheel wells. Removal of the partitioning system is achieved by lifting the partitioning system from the cargo bed.

A load securing device is used with a support bar to secure a load, for example, in a truck trailer. The load securing device includes a load abutting member that abuts against a side of the load. A mounting member is coupled to the load abutting member for removably and adjustably mounting to the support bar. The mounting member includes an open region for receiving the support bar and having a notch on a bottom portion thereof for engaging the support bar. A spring member is coupled to the mounting member proximate the open region and is biased against the support rod when the support rod is received in the open region. The spring member includes a support bar receiving region for receiving the support bar opposite the notch in the bottom portion of the open region. The load abutting member is preferably angled with respect to the mounting member such that the spring member and the mounting member provide a self-locking mechanism. The self-locking mechanism allows the load securing device to be easily installed, adjusted and removed while securely preventing a load from shifting.

The present invention presents an air bag, and a method of using the same, which has at least one indicator line marking thereon for providing a visual indication of when the air bag is in a properly inflated condition for filling a void between loads, such as cargo or the like, in a truck, airplane, train or the like. Each indicator line includes a center portion which is of a first design, such as being blue-colored, and having easily identifiable ends. Preferably, each indicator line has end portions of a second design, such as being red-colored, which are on opposite sides of the center portion of the line and which are visually distinct from the first design. The center portion of the indicator line has a length which is substantially equal to the maximum thickness of the air bag. The air bag is properly inflated when the end portions of the line are not visible, or the center portion of the line marking is completely visible between the loads and the junctions between the center portion and the end portions of the line marking are just visible between the loads. When inflated to the latter, the air bag is also inflated to its maximum pressure. In a second embodiment, the indicator lines extend vertically from the top seam to the bottom seam of the air bag. The air bag is properly inflated when the inner edges of the lines are visible between the loads.

The bulkhead void filler includes first and second rigid panels of a sandwich-type construction attached by the interlocking structure at an upper end of each of the panels. To form the novel non-pivotable, but disengagable, interlocking structure, the second panel includes a side clip and end clips attached to its upper end. The clips define a gap substantially equal to the width or thickness of a leg of the core. The leg of the core of the first panel is slid into the gap and held securely therein.
