摘要： A cargo restraint system is provided, comprising a floor structure defining a number of anchorage openings made thereon with each anchorage opening defining a maximum width. The cargo restraint system also comprises at least one elbowed fastener having an elongated head portion defining a length greater than the anchorage opening maximum width and a maximal cross-sectional width smaller than the anchorage opening maximum width, the elbowed fastener also defining a body portion connected transversely to the head portion; wherein the head portion of the elbowed fastener can be inserted into one of the anchorage openings of the floor structure and the body portion can extend from this anchorage opening and project away from the floor structure. Moreover, at least one cargo restraint member is provided in the cargo restraint system, for restraining movement of a cargo item about the floor structure. In use, the elbowed fastener head portion can releasably engage one of the anchorage openings, and the elbowed fastener body portion can lockingly engage the cargo restraint member, so as to fasten the latter to the floor structure.

摘要： A box car includes end walls joined to opposing side walls that define the interior cargo area. Each end wall includes a corrugated side that faces the cargo area. The adjustable spacer is arranged within a cavity in the corrugated side in a stowed position so that it does not protrude into the cargo area. The side walls include tracks in which opposing guides that support the lateral beam are slideably received. The tracks do not protrude into the cargo area. The guides include multiple holes providing keyways that receive removable locks. Vertical side posts are arranged along the exterior of the side walls. Holes are arranged in the side walls in the area of the side posts. The locks are received in one of the holes in the guides and a hole in the side wall to lock the adjustable spacer in the desired position relative to the box car.

摘要： A load restraining device that provides a system in which straps extending from one side of a web strap arrangement initially run parallel to the wall to which they are connected, as opposed to extending perpendicular to the wall as in the prior art. The anchor itself is a horizontal wall member running longitudinally along the wall of the railcar or trailer. An adjustable anchor is used to permit moving the attachment point several inches to allow for load variations. The attachment of the web strap arrangement is normally 14″ to 18″ behind the face of the load. Unlike previous systems, this provision of anchor points behind the load effectively “encapsulates” the load rather than merely providing a bulkhead effect.

摘要： A truck bed cargo barrier for use with a truck bed for stabilizing cargo items longitudinally and laterally. The cargo barrier is slidable relative to the front and back of the truck bed along a track system. The cargo barrier may be locked in a user specified position along the track system to accommodate the size of the load being carried forming a divider, or may be flipped up into a temporary storage position for linear cargo exceeding the length of the bed. Tie down brackets for bungee cords are adjustably attached to the barrier frame to secure cargo laterally. A barrier panel is connected to laterally adjustable, rigid side plates, each including two spaced apart wheels that ride on a pair of longitudinal tracks on the side walls of the truck bed. The spaced apart wheels firmly secure the barrier panel in a vertical position. A manual actuator permits manual positioning of the barrier panel along the bed frame front to back.
