摘要： A mounting bracket is mounted on the vehicle and has a plurality of teeth displayed in an arcuate path about a pivot. The mounting bracket also has a vertically extending guide slot interposed between the pivot and the teeth. An arm is mounted on the pivot and has teeth thereon engageable with the teeth of the mounting bracket to lock the arm against pivotal movement. The arm also has a guide slot extending radially with respect to the pivot. A guide loop having the belt slidable therethrough is connected to a guide pin which is slidably guided in both the vertical guide slot of the mounting bracket and the radial slot of the arm so that pivotal movement of the arm about the pivot moves the guide loop vertically along the vertical guide slot of the mounting bracket to adjust the height of the shoulder belt. A spring washer surrounds the pivot and acts between the arm and the mounting bracket to urge the arm relative the mounting bracket to a normal position in which the teeth of the arm lock into engagement with the teeth of the mounting bracket.

The strap return element includes a second portion (14) which is angularly offset relative to the first portion (8) and which is actuatable by a user for disengaging the blocking plate (11) from the locking means (12) and thereafter shifting the strap return element (3).

摘要： An adjustable mount for anchoring a safety belt on a vertical surface of a motor vehicle has a vertically elongated guide rail fixed to the surface and having an front face turned away from the surface and a rear face turned toward the surface. This rail is formed with a longitudinally extending throughgoing slot and generally along the full length of the slot with a vertical row of stops at the rear face and having upwardly and downwardly directed stop edges. A slider displaceable along the rail has a rear portion engageable forward with the rear face of the rail and having abutments engageable between the stops with the edges thereof, a front portion engageable rearward with the front face of the rail, and an intermediate connecting portion extending between and unitarily interconnecting the front and rear portions. A guide fixed to the rear portion extends forward therefrom through the slot and is formed with a forwardly open threaded bore into which a bolt is threaded. A spring braced between one of the faces and the slider urges the rear portion forward against the rear face. This rear portion is displaceable rearward on loading of the spring to a position with the abutments clear of the stops and with the slider displaceable longitudinally along the slot. A buckle traversed by the belt is mounted on the slider.

It is practical for this, if the connecting piece has two flanges which surround the toothed rack, forming an approximately U-shaped cross-section.
