摘要： A carton includes a top panel, a pair of opposed end panels, and an integral strap handle that defines in the top panel an opening extending across the top panel, and has a medial grip portion, a pair of wider portions and opposed end portions. The opposed end portions are formed from the end panels while the medial and wider portions are formed from the top panel. The strap handle is movable from a stowed position where the medial and wider portions lie in the plane of the top panel to a use position where the medial portion is arched upwardly from the plane of the top panel. Light protective flaps connected to the top panel fold inwardly defining apertures for accessing the strap handle to place it in the use position, and spring back into a light-protecting position when the strap handle is in the stowed position.

The top panel section has side areas 22, 32 which lie over the tops of the bottles 12 and a central area 26, 35 between the bottles which is at least partially depressed relative to the side areas 22, 32. A handle portion can extend between the side panels and is constituted by opposite side areas 22 being linked together by central area 26 and handle web panels 24. The handle portion can be lifted from the depressed position into a raised carrying position.

摘要： An enclosed carton has an exiting end capable of permitting articles to exit the carton. The carton comprises a bottom wall, a top wall and foldably connected adjoining side walls. The exiting end has a bottom end flap foldably attached to the bottom wall, a top end flap foldably attached to the top wall, a side end flap foldably attached to each side wall, and means for attaching the flaps together. The exiting end has a tear line for forming a dispenser opening. The tear line extends through the top wall at a distance spaced from the exiting end and extends at an angle through each side wall towards the exiting end to the attachment of each side wall with the side end flaps at a distance greater from the top wall than the bottom wall, with a fold line extending through each side end flap at a distance from the bottom wall. A handle is defined by a pair of apertures in the top wall that extend transversely towards the side walls.

摘要： An improved paperboard beverage carrier, made from a unitary blank, is disclosed having an improved carrying handle. The carrying handle comprises a longitudinal strap having three plies of paperboard material extending longitudinally across the top of the carrier and downward over and affixed to the carrier end walls. Hand hold apertures are provided either side of the three ply strap and include tear directing cuts whereby inadvertent tear lines from the hand hold apertures are directed into the three ply strap.

The improved lift handle comprises a laterally extending elongated handle opening within the top panel of the carrier. At least one continuous score line encircles the handle opening and extends onto the carrier side panels to limit the propagation of paperboard tears emanating from the handle opening. Predetermined perforated tear lines are further provided extending from the lateral ends of the handle opening and terminating at the encircling score line.
