    摘要： A package comprises a plurality of beverage cans arranged into a group of at least two vertically-aligned tiers, a carton disposed around the exterior of the group of the cans, and a divider panel disposed between upper and lower adjacent tiers. Each can has a cylindrical side wall defining an axis. The cans in each tier have their axes disposed vertically and parallel to each other. The carton includes top and bottom panels interconnected by a pair of side panels to form a tubular structure, and a pair of end closure structures disposed to close opposite open ends of the tubular structure. The end closure structures are connected to the tubular structure and are disposed substantially adjacent the side walls of the cans of the group along opposite ends of the group. The divider panel is provided with a pair of anchor flaps which are secured to the end closure structures.

End closure structure connected to at least some of the walls closes one end of the carton. A dispenser for the containers includes first and second apertures defined in the end closure structure. The first aperture extends from one of the side walls and the bottom wall into the end closure structure, and the second aperture extends from the same side wall and the top wall into the end closure structure. The first and second apertures terminate remote from each other such that a portion of the end closure structure extends between the apertures and is connected to the side wall.

    摘要： For preventing damage to the tops and bottoms of end loading stacked can cartons, a reinforcing panel is affixed to the inside surface of the top or bottom walls of the carton or to both such walls so as to prevent coincidental can chimes on the upper ends of cans in a lower carton from damaging the top wall of its associated carton and the bottom wall of a carton stacked thereabove and without which the lower ends of the cans of the upper carton may cooperate with the chimes of the cans in the lower cartons to effect substantial damage to the top of the lower carton and to the bottom of the upper carton. For facilitating entry of the cans into an end loading carton and for preventing damaging engagement between the cans and the reinforcing panels, an inwardly extending embossment may be formed in the carton wall adjacent the end edge of the reinforcement panel and if desired the end edge of the reinforcement panel adjacent the end of the carton through which the cans are loaded may be bevelled or may be otherwise configured so as to prevent damage to the carton due to loading of the cans.

    摘要： For packaging groups of articles whose exterior dimensions may vary somewhat, an article carrier of the wraparound type comprises a blank of generally rectangular configuration having lap panels at its ends which may be overlapped and secured together in flat face contacting relation in alternate relative positions of long and short overlaps to form tubular structures of different girths respectively wherein at least one combination locking and retaining tab is struck from each of the lap panels and defining a locking edge in each lap panel which is disposed at the swing end of the associated combination tab, one of the combination tabs being longer from its base to its swing end than the corresponding dimension of the other combination tab so that locking movement of the one combination tab from an outer overlapping position of the associated lap panel through the aperture defined by the other of the combination tabs causes the base of the one combination tab to engage the locking edge defined by the other combination tab to establish a predetermined girth for the carrier and to establish a different girth when the lap panels are interchanged with the other combination tab serving as a loading tab.

A connecting tab 70 lies intermediate the end region of the strap member and foldably interconnects the strap member with a region of the panel that lies between the strap member and one of the side edges of the panel. The perforated line and score line of the elongated web intersect at a point distal the vertex of side and end edges.
