The pressing device is a molded product made of a resinous material whose flexural strength is 50 MPa or higher and flexural modulus of elasticity is 3,300 MPa or higher. When a friction plate is formed compositely with a plate-shaped member to form the pressing device, friction plate is formed of a fluorocarbon resin; and at least one ingredient selected from a whisker whose Mohs hardness is 5 or less, a carbon fiber, and a hard resinous powder.

    摘要: A machine tool having a rotary work-table driven in rotation by a circular gear carried by the work-table cooperating with a worm gear and drive mechanism mounted on the work-table support. The underside of the work-table bears upon a slideway. The work-table is locked to the slideway by means of three equidistant posts biased into clamping relationship with a slot in the slideway. An annular piston operates a linkage that engages the posts, and upon actuation of the piston the posts are moved to a position spaced from the slot to unlock the work-table for rotation. The annular piston also moves a plurality of bearings into engagement with the underside of the work-table to remove the full load thereof from the slideway to facilitate rotation.

A CENTRAL SHAFT MEMBER OPERATIVELY ASSOCCIATED WITH THE TURRET AND HAVING A CAM FOLLOWER AFFIXED THERETO WHICH IS ROTATABLE WITH THE CENTRAL SHAFT, AND A CAM TRACK IN WHICH THE CAM FOLLOWER ROTATES AND WHICH EFFECTS AXIAL MOVEMENT OF THE CENTRAL SHAFT AND THE TURRET ASSOCIATED THEREWITH UPON MOVEMENT OF THE CAM FOLLOWER THROUGH THE CAM TRACK. ROTATION OF THE CENTRAL SHAFT IN IN ONE DIRECTION RAISES THE TURRET TO DISENGAGE THE TEETH OF THE CURVIC COUPLING AND INDEXES THE TURRET. ROTATION OF THE CENTRAL SHAFT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION LOWERS THE TURRET AND ANGAGES THE TEETH OF THE CURVIC COUPLING TO THEREBY LOCK THE TURRET IN A SELECTED POSITION. THE INDEXING MECHANISM ALSO INCLUDED STOP MEANS WHICH NORMALLY LIMIT THE ROTATION OF THE TURRET SO THAT THE TURRET MAY ONLY BE ROTATED TO ITS NEXT OPERATIVE POSITION. THIS CONSTRUCTION ENABLES THE TURRET TO BE RAPIDLY AND EFFICIENTLY UNLOCKED, AUTOMATICALLY INDEXED TO A NEW POSITION, AND THEN LOCKED IN THE NEW POSITION WITH A SUFFICIENT FORCE SO THAT INADVERTENT ROTATION OF THE TURRET OUT OF THE NEW POSITION WILL NOT OCCUR DUE TO VIBRATION OF THE TURRET.
