    摘要: A shelf mounting system wherein a shelf unit is mounted to one side of a wall covering solely by a plurality of rigid hangers interconnected by interconnecting portions thereof to the shelf unit and having installing portions thereof respectively disposed in a plurality of openings of the wall covering and bearing against the other side of the wall covering. Each hanger comprises a one-piece rod-like member of a generally uniform cross-sectional configuration throughout its length and having its installing portion defining a generally J-shape disposed in its respective opening and engaging against the other side of the wall covering in a load bearing manner. Each opening is generally of the same cross-sectional size as the cross-sectional configuration of its respective hanger.

    摘要: A cantilever storage rack having posts with vertically spaced rectangular apertures and arms having U-shaped brackets embracing the posts. Each bracket has two pairs of vertically spaced rectangular apertures so that two pins connect the bracket and post. The lower bracket apertures are spaced slightly rearwardly of the upper apertures in a direction away from the face of the column. The result is that the cantilever arm is supported by the pins with area contact but is held away from the column, thereby insuring accurate vertical arm location.

    摘要: A shelf bracket structure includes a wood shelf bracket having a channel in its upper surface extending from the rear end of the bracket part way along the bracket and a hole spaced from such end of the bracket and extending from the bottom of the channel downwardly and rearwardly of the bracket. A metal attaching member has a horizontal body portion received in the channel and a downwardly and rearwardly bent end portion received in the hole of the bracket. The other end of the attaching member has an upwardly extending portion for attaching the bracket to a wall or other support. This upwardly extending portion may be positioned rearwardly of the bracket for hooking engagement in a hole in a support strip or in a modification may have a rear surface flush with the rear end surface of the bracket and a hole extending through the upwardly extending portion to receive a screw or other fastener for securing the attaching member to a wall or other support member.

A multi-piece support member 10 of plastics material adapted to be used in a panel 40 having an aperture 42 having a substantially circular portion 44 and at least one lateral recess 46, comprises a support element 12 and a stud element 14, the support element 12 including a base 16 adapted to abut the panel, a cavity 18 in the base on the side adapted to abut the panel and support means 20 extending from the base and away from the panel, the stud element 14 having a head 28 and a shank 30, the head 28 being adapted to be engaged within the cavity 18 with the shank extending away from the support means, there being means on the stud element for rotating it, means for retaining the head and the base in the assembled condition, at least one lug 32 extending from the shank and presenting a face 36 spaced from one opposed to the head, and a stop 38 adjacent to one edge of this face and extending therefrom towards the head, whereby rotation of the stud element after engagement with the panel aperture causes the face 36 of the lug to underlie the panel and the stop 38 to limit rotation by engagement with the panel edge forming the lateral recess 46. As shown, in which the support member is used to support shelving 58 within a refrigerator, the head 28 of the stud element is formed with keyways 29 which mate with keys 26 within the cavity 18 to effect a rotary driving connection between the stud element and the support element, the two elements being retained in the assembled condition by a co-operating rim 24 and margin 28 on the support and stud elements respectively. In another arrangement Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) the head and cavity are provided with cooperating radial grooves and notches to provide the driving connection. Other embodiments described, Figs. 7-32 (not shown), include various forms of detent means associated with the stud element and co-operating with the aperture and the panel for preventing inadvertent release of the support. In all arrangements, the support element 12 is made from polystyrene and the stud element 14 is made from nylon.
