摘要: The invention provides a three-dimensional (3D) image processing circuit and a synchronization signal correction method thereof. The 3D image processing circuit is adapted to process a 3D image signal. The 3D image signal includes an image synchronization signal and a view switching signal. The 3D image processing circuit includes a synchronization signal correction circuit coupled to the image processing circuit. A synchronization circuit of the synchronization signal correction circuit receives an image synchronization signal processed by the image processing circuit and simultaneously receives the view switching signal. The synchronization circuit compares the processed image synchronization signal with the view switching signal, so as to output a view switching signal synchronized with the processed image synchronization signal. The invention further provides an image display device including the above 3D image processing circuit.

A trajectory of viewing direction may include changes in viewing directions for playback of spherical video. Abrupt changes in the viewing directions may result in jerky or shaky views of the spherical video. Changes in the viewing directions may be stabilized to provide stabilized views of the spherical video. Amount of stabilization may be limited by a margin constraint.

摘要: A method for selecting spectator viewpoints in volumetric video presentations of live events includes receiving a plurality of video streams depicting an event occurring in a venue, wherein the plurality of video streams are provided to a processor by a plurality of cameras which are geographically distributed within the venue, identifying an initial position of a target that is present in the venue, based on an analysis of the plurality of video streams, compositing the plurality of video streams to produce a first volumetric video traversal of the live event that follows the target through the venue, predicting a future position of the target in the venue at a future point in time, based in part on a current position of the target, and sending an alert to a display device that is streaming a volumetric video presentation of the event, wherein the alert indicates the future position of the target.

摘要: Converting variable frame rate video to fixed frame rate video is described. A variable frame rate (VFR) video having source frames with varying frame durations is obtained. A fixed frame rate for the VFR video is determined. A mapping is generated which maps the source frames of the VFR video to a sequence of result frames of the fixed frame rate. To generate the mapping, a suitable source frame is chosen for each result frame using one or more mapping rules. After the mapping is generated, the mapping is adjusted to improve smoothness of motion of the VFR video by adding at least one skipped source frame to the mapping and removing at least one repeated source frame from the mapping. The VFR video is then converted into, or interpreted as, a fixed frame rate video having the determined fixed frame rate based on the adjusted mapping.
