摘要： An index card assembly which allows selective adherence of an index card to a mounting surface is disclosed. A base paper layer of the index card has a front side and an opposite back side. The paper layer has an upper edge with a portion of the paper layer removed to define a paperless zone which includes a gap across the upper edge. A cover layer having an outer face and an inner face is adhered by pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on its inner face to the front side of the paper layer. The cover layer is aligned to cover the paperless zone with a top of the cover layer extending across the gap of the paperless zone. The adhesive on the inner face of the cover layer is exposed across the paperless zone on the back side of the paper layer. The thickness of the paper layer prevents the adhesive from contacting a surface abutting the back side of the paper layer in the absence of the application of a threshold level of pressure against the outer face of the cover layer.

摘要： A digital clock mounted within a flap overlying the spine of a notepad on a notepad cover is provided. A raised bezel or surround constructed from a soft, pliable material, such as soft polyvinylchloride (PVC), covers a portion of the clock chip, exposing its digital readout. Detents or holes may be provided for inserting pens or other blunt instruments for setting the clock. A port is provided in the flap to access the underside of the clock chip, and can be covered, along the underside of the flap, with a piece of elastic material. By moving the elastic material aside, access to the battery of the clock chip is provided.

摘要： A notepad having rectangular leaves each having a self-adhesive marginal edge portion adhered to an underlying leaf, and a free edge opposite from the marginal edge portion, is provided in a notepad holder having a rectangular pad support surface, a pair of opposed site walls extending at right angles to the pad support surface at opposite sides of the pad support surface and an abutment for the marginal edge portions. Resilient material, secured to the side walls, is in contact with and compressed by opposite sides of the notepad. At least the lowermost one of the leaves folded to form a strip-shaped bulge and a plastic strip is inserted into the bulge to increase the retention of the notepad.
